The purpose of this very brief post is merely to document the first changeup — a plus-plus pitch according to lead prospect analyst Eric Longenhagen — of Oakland right-hander Jharel Cotton’s major-league career. If a right handed pitcher can throw a changeup inside to a right handed batter and get a swing and miss, it’s a good changeup. I think that may be a brand named hitter as well.
