The 2025 Free Agent Tracker Is Here!
Our 2025 Free Agent Tracker is now live! There are currently close to 200 players on the list; more will be added following the postseason as decisions are made on 2025 options and teams begin to clear space on their 40-man rosters. The tracker will be regularly updated throughout the offseason as qualifying offers are made and accepted or rejected, and as free agents find their new homes.
You can filter by status (signed/unsigned), previous team, and signing team, and export the data for your own analysis. You can also sort by a player’s handedness, age, and 2024 WAR. Shortly after the postseason ends, projected 2025 WAR will be available, will the results of our annual contract crowdsourcing project, which include median contract total, years, and average annual value estimates.
Players with options are not included on the tracker. Typically, options do not have to be exercised or declined until five days after the World Series ends. As players have their options declined, they will be added. Until then, you can find the full list here.

Would it be possible to add “AL” and “NL” options for previous team and signing team drop-downs? As someone who plays fantasy in AL and NL only leagues, this would be a helpful addition.

Kim, Eovaldi, Snell, Manaea, Wacha, Martinez, Robertson, and Pederson are almost certainly going to be part of the free agent mix and should be of great interest to a lot of different teams. Montas will also be an interesting name, I could see a lot of teams still thinking they can get him back to where he was before.
The player that will be the most interesting if he declines his option would be Bellinger. I’m a little curious about Rhys Hoskins. He should opt in but that’s a fairly large buyout, Boras is his agent, and there are going to be a lot of teams looking for a first baseman.
Bellinger should have so many options and contending suitors that I’d be shocked if he doesn’t opt out. Otoh, I think Hoskins might have a harder time, as I do not believe teams going to line up for a no defense 1B with a 100wRC (he might be better than that next year, but by a lot? i dunno). I do not think the Yankees are going down that road again, and most of the other contenders are locked up at that position/can do the same or better with internal options.
I think you are right that he shouldn’t but I think that it looks on paper like there should be a robust market for the services of guys like Hoskins and Carlos Santana.
Alonso and Walker are clearly ahead of Hoskins, but after that is’ pretty open. Here is a list of teams that will be looking for one of those two at first base:

Seems to me like that’s enough to talk yourself into opting out…but I think you are right that even though there are a lot of teams on paper, it will be hard for him to match the $14M from the Brewers after his year.
Giants will likely be in the mix to upgrade from Wade with a more robust power source. Unless they move Encarnacion there.
Now, Bellinger would have plenty of suitors if he opts out but he’s probably only a little ahead of guys like Teoscar Hernandez and Anthony Santander if he opts out, and clearly behind Soto and Adames. If he’s looking for a $200M deal, he’d be better to stay in Chicago another year and see what he can do this time around.
With Bally/Diamond now dropping a full third of the league, I think all free agents not named Soto should adjust their expectations down. Those 11 teams plus teams you know won’t spend (white sox, a’s, cardinals decreasing payroll, pirates always cheap) = 15 teams highly likely to keep payroll flat or down. Teams that do have money to spend should find some bargains.
Maybe a little. But those 11 teams were the ones least likely to spend, though. The Tigers and Rangers and Angels are the only ones out there likely to offer big money. Meanwhile, the Giants, Cubs, Mariners, and Blue Jays are coming off of humiliating years and the Nationals have money to spend too.
