Jeff Sullivan FanGraphs Chat – 3/12/13
Jeff made Lookout Landing a thing, but he does not still write there about the Mariners. He does write here, sometimes about the Mariners, but usually not.

Fantasy question: Looking for a stud RP that is under minor league inning #’s that I could add in the late rounds of minor league draft then call up immediately to use for the duration of 2013 and beyond. Doesn’t need t be a closer just productive in ERA/WHIP/K per 9
I think jeurys familia will be in the mets bullpen from day 1
Cody Allen CLE, he will be their closer before long.
Not unless they trade away Vinnie Pestano and Chris Perez faulters (which is very possible).
I didn’t mean next month, I assume this is a very deep league otherwise he wouldn’t be after a middle reliever in his minors draft. Allen is almost certainly their closer of the future.
What’s the innings # threshold? You could look at Luis Avilan, he only has 36 MLB innings so far. He is a hard throwing lefty reliever, should be good for a low ERA/Whip and a K/9 of 8 or so. He’ll also pick up some holds here and there.
Brad Boxberger (SD) is a guy I like. Stating the obvious perhaps, but Sean Doolittle (OAK) is freaking awesome. JJ Hoover (CIN) has some potential there, too. All are under 50 IP, though the service time may be an issue for Doolittle.
