If you think the thyroid problem that cost Reyes a season is going to affect him again, you’re insane.
i agree that fangraphs should have k% and bb%. Make k out of PA also. Which line is better? 9 ip, 9 k, 10 h, 5bb. Or 9ip, 6k, 0 h, 0 bb. The former has a k% of 21%. The latter has a k% of 22%. Yet K/9 says that the first line was 33% better at striking out batters, while in fact the second line stuck out slightly more batters per batter faced
also hr% would be good too
About Jose Reyes: “A couple of seasons where he couldn’t stay on the field”? You mean 2009? And “2+ months of being awesome”? You mean 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2011?
Reyes was one of the best SS’s from 2006-2008, and he has been fantastic this year. 2009-2010 still does qualify as couple of seasons though. It should affect his contract.
