Did Daniel really say the AL is the superior league? That’s the dumbest thing said in that chat.
Weaver did not give up any 500 footers and he didn’t stare down Guillen when he struck him out twice. Guillen has no business staring down anybody.
No but Weaver reportedly called Guillen’s friend, teammate and fellow countrymen Magglio Ordonez an Mfer and told him to stop showboating and run the bases faster. Considering Magglio had been in the league for over 12 years and never had any history of doing such thing I thought that was ridiculous. He did nothing different then what David Ortiz does on every single HR ball yet do pitchers yell and call him out every time? No. All Guillen was doing was sticking up for his friend and teammate by showing Weaver what the difference between showboating and what Magglio did.
Guillen probably should’ve been the bigger man and not doing anything but if Weaver didn’t get so mad to begin with on the Magglio HR nothing would’ve happened.
Maglio looked like he was making sure the ball stayed fair, so overreaction by Weaver in the first place. However, I don’t see how making yourself look like a jackass sticks up for your teammate. Moreover, you know by showing up the pitcher the next batter (also your teammate) will get plunked. Guillen’s home run was enough, he just felt like being an ass and put Aliva in jeopardy.
Weaver certainly shouldn’t have thrown above Avila’s head, no disputing that.
DId “Luke M” really imply that a shortstop with 2.1 WAR so far this season is not solid?
What a hypocrite. Jonah writes a whole article slamming Hendry for not making any deadline deals then agrees with NatsTown at the end of his chat. My God, you can at least to hide your crazy hatred for everything Cubs.
