Which is a more reasonable stat line:

Montero- .280 AVG, 25 HR, .5 BB/K, .900 OPS
Pineda- 15 Wins, 200 IP, 3.00 ERA, 9 k/9,

Great chat, Mike. Thanks!

I would say Montero’s line is more reasonable, because of the AL East.

After next season, Hanley will be a 3b, no longer having ss eligibility. Therefore, would his value still be higher than Kinsler’s value at 2b entering the 2013 season? Assuming Hanley delivers a 300/20/30 line this season with good counting stats, and Kinsler has his usual 30/30 potential.

Could you give us an idea of Leonys Martin’s speed/power potential?

I don’t think Montero can have 900 OPS with 280 AVG. I would expect something like 305/370/530/900.

Hasn’t Mike Trout already made his MLB debut?

$200 Keeper/Auction league. Can keep players for three years. Have Trout in year 2 at $2. Do I keep him with limited production this year, and as a $3 possible starter the next year….which would be the final year I would have him. Or do I free up the roster space for someone that will contribute more now? Thanks!

Dynasty question… keep Rex Brothers or Mike Adams? Brothers is only 24, seems to be the Rockies’ future closer, and gets a ton of K’s. However, Adams is the epitome of consistency (low WHIP, ERA, & high Ks). My concern about keeping the better pitcher (Adams) is that he turns 34 in July and just had hernia surgery. Am I foolish for keeping Adams over Brothers in a dynasty league??

I’d keep Brothers…

What do you think about Carlos Perez (the LHP in the Braves system)? Did he show any signs of being able to harness his command and tap into his potential, and how great is his potential?

Lastly, if he doesn’t cut it as a starter in the long run, does he have the pitches to become a top flight reliever?
