Caribbean Series Notes
Current Standings
Here are the current standings of the Caribbean Series, after four days of games, presented in a sortable HTML table.

Club Country W L PCT GB RS RA DIFF
Leones del Escogido DR 4 0 1.000 15 4 11
Yaquis de Obregón MEX 2 2 0.500 2 7 6 1
Tigres de Aragua VEN 1 3 0.250 3 12 12 0
Indios de Mayagüez PR 1 3 0.250 3 4 16 -12

What the Standings Mean
Because the tournament is played as a double round-robin, and because the are only two game days left (including today), only one team (last year’s winner, Obregon) has a chance of even tying Dominican entry Escogido.

Notes
• Here’s the overall slash line of all players through the Series’s first four days of games: .213/.274/.241 (.269 BABIP).
• Here’s how many home runs have been hit in those eight games: 0.
• Here are the dimensions of Estadio Quisqueya, where the series is being played (per Wikipedia): 335 down the foul line, 383 in the power alleys, 411 in center. That makes it pretty similar to Safeco, looks like, and a little bit bigger all around than the Astrodome was.)

Today’s Games
Obregon vs. Mayaguez, 2pm ET
Aragua vs. Escogido, 6pm ET
