Player Page Comments
I’ve added a place on the player pages where you can leave a comment or have a threaded discussion about a particular player. You can log in using pretty much whichever service you want (twitter, facebook, google, etc…), or continue to comment anonymously.
We tried something like this a couple years ago for a short amount of time and it didn’t work out too well, but I think it’s worth trying again.
The comments section is at the very bottom of the page (with a link at the top of the page showing how many comments there are) so it doesn’t get in the way of your stats browsing.

I really like this idea. Hopefully this ends up serving as a discussion forum rather than an opportunity to increase the level of snark.
love it. any chance we could get a ‘Recent Comments’ on the home page, similar to the listing now of the 6 most popular player pages?
Just added it as the first couple comments showed up.
Will these comments be deleted over time?
They shouldn’t be. We can sort them in descending order by default I think, so it will just be a running list. They’ll page though, so if this turns out to be a popular feature you’ll only get the most recent 10-20 unless you click more.
Any chance we can get this feature on minor league players pages? I think that would be the most popular and serve the most use.
