One thing I’d like to be noted when discussing the Rockies:

They have the most valuable pitching staff in MLB. By quite a bit.

That 4th best GB/FB ratio has a lot to do with it – seems they found pitchers that can succeed in that park, even if Ubaldo would do well in any park of course.

Oh I agree. I’m just saying that the Rockies have been VERY effective as a pitching staff. Their pitching is the strength of the team and may very well be the best in the NL West race down the stretch.

giants and pads also have excellent pitching. do you think the rockies’ staff is significantly better?

Fangraphs WAR. They’ve been 1st in MLB most of 2010 and 2009. Park factors and such
