ZiPS In-Season Projections
The ZiPS in-season projections courtesy of Baseball Think Factory’s Dan Szymborski are now live on the player pages making the pre-season projections hidden by default.
Remember:
ZiPS (R) – What a player is projected to do the rest of the season.
ZiPS (U) – A player’s full season updated projection.
Updated and Rest of Season ZiPS are also available in the sortable projection area.
David Appelman is the creator of FanGraphs.
So, (U) = what already happened + (R) ?
Yep!
Is there anywhere to see preseason projections?
If you click on the “Show Projections” link on the page, it will show you all the pre-season ones.
You can also view them here:

Would love a park-adjusted version, or maybe just include wRC+ and ERA-?

Some of these early-season numbers *do* apparently tell us something.
For instance, Miguel Montero’s hot start has raised his rest-of-season (i.e., true talent level) projection from a .332 wOBA to a .350 wOBA.
At the other extreme, Carl Crawford has been downgraded from a .374 wOBA player to a .366 wOBA player.
Does ZiPS (R) update daily?
I was also curious how often ZiPS (RoS) updates, if at all?
Yep, ZiPS (R) and ZiPS (U) are updated every single day of the season.
Happy day.
How are PAs/IPs projected?
Is there any way to view all of the Zips updated sortable stats in one page rather than 10 pages? I know I can download it but I am using an Excel web query to grab the info and it would make it possible to grab the info if it was all on one page. Thanks
Also, do updated season projections account for injuries?
