Select Televised Games
Washington at Atlanta | 18:05 ET
Stephen Strasburg is scheduled to make his second start of the spring, according to MLB.com’s Bill Ladson, while Bryce Harper is expected to return to the Nats’ lineup after missing six game due to a tight left calf. Meanwhile, Joe Frisaro reports that right-hander Julio Teheran will start for the Braves (although, as of Tuesday night, the MLB scoreboard suggests it could be other Braves right-handed prospect Randall Delgado). Teheran was ranked first — and Delgado third — in the Atlanta system by our Marc Hulet. The pair were ranked No. 5 and No. 32, respectively, on Hulet’s top-100 prospect list.

Kansas City at Seattle | 22:05 ET
Royals right-hander Aaron Crow, currently competing for a starting spot after posting an 83 xFIP- in 62.0 innings out of the bullpen last year, is scheduled to make his first start of the spring, according to MLB.com’s Dick Kaegel. At the end of last November, our Eno Sarris asked the question, “Is Starting Aaron Crow a Good Idea?” His verdict: maybe not so much. In any case, this game should provide Crow with an opportunity to practice a third pitch, after throwing either his four-seam fastball or slider about 85% of the time last season.

Lightly Annotated Video: Aaron Crow
Here’s some video of Aaron Crow from last season. In this first video, we see both the fastball in the mid- to upper-90s (0:16) and slider (0:31). The third pitch (at 0:38) is also a fastball.

In this second video, we again see the fastball at ca. 97 mph (0:14, 0:22) and, against Alfonso Soriano, the slider (0:31).

Crowdsourcing Broadcasters: San Francisco Radio
Recently, we released the results of our television broadcaster rankings — itself the product of reader crowdsourcing that started in late November. Now, FanGraphs is asking readers to rate the radio broadcast teams for all 30 major-league clubs (Click here for more on this project.)

Rate other teams: Washington / Toronto / Texas / Tampa Bay / Seattle.

That was one of the more exciting ST games I’ve seen(Braves/Nationals). Teheran, Delgado, and Strasburg all looked good despite their lines. Heyward hit a mammoth shot on a 97mph fastball up in the zone from Strasburg. Teheran struck out Harper again with the exact same pitch sequence he used to strike him out in the Futures game last year.

Who am I kidding, nobody’s gonna read this random write-up of a meaningless ST game.
