Eno Sarris Baseball Chat — 3/31/16

1:16
Eno Sarris: love this love you be here soon

12:01
Alex in Austin: Better season Corbin or Shelby?

12:01
Eno Sarris: Corbin for floor.

12:01
Bork: #TrollVotto has started early. How excited are you for it during the regular season? Will he bust out the tripod during an actual game?

12:01
Eno Sarris: If anyone would ever call his shot, it would be him, and he’d be pointing to left center grass.

12:01
James: Jimmy Rollins has looked great so far in spring. Is it that far-fetched to think he could go 20/20 this season? Last season was awful and he still went 12/13.

12:02
Eno Sarris: I’ve bought a couple shares. I’m a fan.

12:02
Texas Dolly: In an AL-only keeper league with 4 bench spots. I really want Nomar Mazara wearing my team colours, yet I don’t want to occupy a bench spot for months. When is the right time to bite the bullet and scoop Nomar?

12:02
Eno Sarris: May 1? Should be up by June-July after arb deadlines.

12:02
Billy Beane: Thoughts on Stephen Vogt this year? Should we be at all concerned with his second half decline last year?

12:02
Eno Sarris: I think he can manage his overall line again.

12:02
Cronut Burger: How has Drew Smyly looked this spring? Smyly will finish a Top ___ in the American League this season?

12:03
Eno Sarris: 20. I like him. Shoulder only question.

12:03
kakie bryan: it’s me 4 real!!!! drinking milk every day getting strong and for to fulfill my dream! mlb 40 man rostor by 17 bdyay! #dontbelievemejustwatch all best kakie

12:03
shubbles: over/under: my wrinkly or my crinkly?

12:03
Miketron: Funyuns are an underrated snack

12:03
Eno Sarris: mellow start.

12:03
Johnny5Alive: Eno, we need your help. Give us all your insights on fantasy baseball! Also, did you only do your bold predictions on the podcast, or are they written down somewhere?

12:04
mike frank: if one of your fg dudes were to, theoretically, include “Nate Eovaldi wins AL Cy Young” in your “Bold Predictions” it would be very, very bold. My question is, let’s say one of you was bold enough to predict this – what would you point to to back it up?

12:05
Eno Sarris: It’s not bad. Because once he started throwing the split finger 40+% of the time, he was killer. If they don’t know if it’s going to be fastball or splitter, batters are f’ed.

12:05
Lemon: Over/Under 26.5 on how many HR Alex Rodriguez hits?

12:05
Eno Sarris: Under. Injury.

12:05
George is Curious: Assuming the same number of at-bats, who would have a better season, Mauer or Tyler White?

12:05
Eno Sarris: White.

12:05
Chris Bosh: Just be careful if you’re eating and drinking outside. After all, when you’re thirsty and the sun is beating down on you, there’s a good chance you’re going to drink more than one beer. But throwing back porters and hoppy beers—any of those kinds with a higher alcohol content—can come with consequences, so watch out for that.

12:05
Eno Sarris: Ladies and gentlemen our newest beer blogger is here.

12:05
AL Pitching Coach: How much free agent money would you drop on Cody Anderson right now in an AL-only?

12:06
Eno Sarris: Still not striking anyone out. $11 or so. Based purely on velocity increase.

12:06
Reggie Jackson: Are you on board with Nick Castellanos having a breakout season?

12:06
Eno Sarris: I like him, but the improvements have been so small. The Tigers would probably be happy with one win from him, and that’s the kind of breakout I can believe in.

12:06
Matt: Hey Eno! Storen’d job title (or lack there-of) really screwed me! Who is the first among these guys that you think will be coronated: Zych, Kela, Dyson, Colome, Storen (ironic, I know)? Also, am I right to not really be concerned with Benoit?

12:07
Eno Sarris: Dyson. I like Zych, but yeah, he’s behind Benoit (balls). Colome fine, actually, probably the closer now. maybe him.

12:07
Louis: Did you see anything in Rich Hill’s final outing that could comfort those of us who own him?

12:07
Eno Sarris: fewer walks? Not yet, really.

12:07
Frozen Yogurt: Who would you rather have in 2016, Pineda or Odorizzi?

12:07
Eno Sarris: Odorizzi.

12:08
Eno Sarris: This band is fun!

12:09
Zigs: What are your thoughts on Garret Richards and his changeup? Is this more ST fluff? Or does it seem like he is on the verge of a big breakthrough?

12:09
Eno Sarris: Looks like a sinker to me. Could be awesome. Still like him as a number two.

12:11
Trystan: Could you theorise one trade the Nationals could make that would tip the scales to them winning the NL East over the Mets?

12:11
Eno Sarris: Don’t need one. Healthy Strasburg, good Joe Ross, call up Giolito and he’s good, Trea Turner steps in and takes over for Espinosa and he’s good, that’s how the Nationals turn into the best team in baseball.

12:11
CamdenWarehouse: Jean Segura of the .285 OBP over the last two years is going to bat leadoff. Even in his good year his OBP was only .329. How bad will this be for the D-Backs?

12:13
Eno Sarris: .329 would be around average, so that might be okay. And I’m one of the few that believe he could get back there. That really tough year had a lot going on and last year was not a great team situation in that they were losing. He’s in a better place this year and I could see him doing a .310 and being not as bad as it looks now.

12:13
Zorak: Went with my tried and true strategy of going cheap on closers at auction to wait for spring to shake out, and now I want to swap out Vizcaino and possibly Cishek for better guys. Can you rank for me: Osuna, Jefress, Hoover, McGee, O’Day and Strickland? 12tm h2h points. Thanks!

12:13
Eno Sarris: Osuna Jeffress McGee

12:13
Scott: Tree House bottles?!?!??

12:14
Eno Sarris: I prefer cans really. can do so much with the art, it goes in a glass anyway, and there’s no light or escaping pressure in a can.

12:14
Matt: Bauer: Can he make me happy this year, or should I cut bait before I get the irrational thought that he might breakout.

12:14
Eno Sarris: Depends on depth of league. In onlies and 18+, I hold. There’s a roster crunch coming and Cody Anderson has options left.

12:14
Otis: John Jaso, how many PAs can he get with only 3 LHP in the division he has to face?

12:14
Eno Sarris: 450-500?

12:14
Otis: ALSO, WHICH SCULPIN IS THE KING SCULPIN?

12:14
Eno Sarris: Pineapple.

12:15
TP for my Byung Ho: How does Matt Harvey’s recent medical news impact his PEEQUOTA, UNZIPS, and STREAMER projections?

12:15
Bork: Since I can’t see videos at work I’m just going to brag that I’m having poutine for lunch THANKS BYE.

12:15
Dr. Zizmor: Man Trevor Bauer is a serious mensch for trying out your pitch! Love all the Driveline videos – it got me thinking about a new pitch though. It stands to reason that when you consider pronation and okin nkn oH oih ohioh89 980h90 jknm ioI”M “M I”m” MAWEHREWORLFg ig90gj

12:16
Eno Sarris: going to the classics today.

12:16
john: Got Span as a late round sleeper. I expect him to lead league in runs scored. What say you?

12:16
Eno Sarris: I expect him to sit some since the team has depth and he’s coming off a surgery.

12:16
Mitch: Jabari Blash, Tuffy Gosewich, Socrates Brito. Does having an insane name increase your chances of being a pro, and if so, where did you go wrong, because Eno Sarris is an 80-grade name.

12:17
Eno Sarris: Let’s not write Blash into stardom just yet. Someone was telling me they’ve seen him whiff in batting practice.

12:17
The Phanatic: What is Nola’s ceiling really? There have been people on this site who have described him as the next Cliff Lee. Is that likely enough where he should be a hold in dynasty leagues

12:17
Eno Sarris: I’m holding. Plus command will make everything play up.

12:17
Zorak: when do guys normally get put on the DL? I can overspend my cap as long as I’m under by the first game on sunday (players in DL slots do not count towards salary cap). McCullers is on waivers and I want to nab him, but only if it doesn’t put me over the cap (also have Brantley to shift to the DL at some point).

12:18
Eno Sarris: This is the worst part of the (non) season. I think it will happen Sunday but that’s tough on people.

12:18
Trystan: Really enjoyed your new pitch article. I posted a similar train of thought the other day along the lines of combining two pitches: the splinker, chutter, scrurve

12:18
Eno Sarris: The splinker!

12:18
Trystan: What would you name your new pitch? the Scrurve?

12:18
Eno Sarris: Just calling it in the Reverse Curve, which I like better than Kyle’s Overspin Curve.

12:19
john: Projections on John Lackey look for a huge drop. What’s your expectations on him?

12:19
Eno Sarris: I have no idea how he’s gotten this far with just a fastball and a slider.

12:20
Jack: Eno, thanks to you, I’ve picked up both Adam Conley and Cody Anderson for my strapped pitching staff. Any other ST velocity jumpers that we should put on our radar?

12:20
Eno Sarris: Jesse Hahn and Kendall Graveman but be careful with them. Alex Wood! With arm slot change, I’m v hopeful. Karns is up! Desclafani.

12:20
Here Come the Warm Jets: Don’t gloat: I know you said Kim was the weakest offseason import already. Should he be cut in an AL/OBP/keeper/short bench league?

12:21
Eno Sarris: I think he could get a chance with a bad team if he gets cut — wait until he gets cut of course — but the worst teams with the best roster spots to offer are in the National League.

12:21
Mike: Am I crazy to be hyped on Cody Anderson? He’s got the extra velo now, and already had a penchant for HR-prevention. Is there something in his pitch profiles suppressing his upside?

12:21
Eno Sarris: No Ks, even this spring with the new velocity.

12:22
Bork: Do you agree with the Orioles move of not keeping Kim on their opening day roster? Should he be facing big league pitchers rather than minor league?

12:22
Eno Sarris: They need to win games, if they didn’t like what they saw… OBP with no other tools is a tough one. Your OBP if you never swung the bat would be under .100.

12:22
Lorenzo Cain: Are people forgetting I am 30? How am I such a huge asset?

12:23
Eno Sarris: Just got yelled at by someone saying Cain would be better than Trout this year and no. Cain never had more than 500 PA before last year and is now 30. I sold my only share.

12:23
Maxamuz: 50 HR DREAMS BABY!

12:23
swannie35: Just grabbed Shaw and dropped Teix for the upside and dual positions…have Pujols at 1st and Bryant at 3rd so Teix was on my bench anyway…good move?

12:23
Eno Sarris: I don’t think this Shaw over Pablo thing is going to be permanent.

12:24
Tony Rich: How would you rank Kang, Moose, and Turner for this year only?

12:24
Eno Sarris: In that order. I still like Kang a lot.

12:24
Iggy: Thoughts on 2016 version of Verlander? Sporer has him a lot higher than his ADP. Do you agree?

12:24
Eno Sarris: Highest spin rate fastball, using it more higher in zone and for IFFB and whiffs. Re-figured it out, I think.

12:24
Trevor Bowser: Hi Eno-culation. Do I cut ties with Trevor Bauer in an only league (keeper, 3-man bench) or ride out these Francona shenanigans? I so enjoyed watching him throw your new pitch, even if he looked like the face on the cover of Mogwai Fear Satan…

12:24
Eno Sarris: I’m holding in that type of league.

12:24
a eskpert: I’m not a Marlins fan, but is there any time that’s more exciting this season? Barry Bonds AND Ichiro on the same team?

12:25
Eno Sarris: I can’t wait for them to come to town.

12:25
Hugh Jass: Time to sell high on CarGo, both IRL & in fantasy.

12:25
Eno Sarris: yes. He might not make it through the year in Coors and I doubt he ever hits more than 35 again.

12:25
Erik: Are teams built as unit or as a collection of individual players? For example, if a team got good power from its middle infielders, would that free them up to target different skill sets from the traditional power positions?

12:26
Eno Sarris: Only on the fringes I think. You build / draft for any talent you can get. Once they in the big leagues, you adjust. Like the Cubs right now are probably trying everything they can to find good relievers and starters on the cheap.

12:27
What a pitch: Btw “eno eno” corrected to enormous. Take that as you wish.

12:27
Matt: Eno Eno bo-bino. Banana fana fo fino. Last week I put a question in here but I didn’t bother this week. Eno!

12:27
Eno Sarris: lots of questions. I encourage you to try again.

12:27
steve: Tanaka has been dreadful this ST. Nothing fastball takes surprise out of splitter. Coming off elbow surgery and has a frayed ulnar collateral something-or-other. You have him 10th among AL starters. Figure he’s saving his bullets for the season? Girardi seems reluctant to name him opening day starter.

12:28
Eno Sarris: Pitched okay in the rain. Some guys have told me they don’t get the same adrenaline boost in spring than in the regular season. Not saying he needs that to be good, but I’m not worried… yet.

12:28
Mark: Are you convinced by Kepler’s one big year in AA?

12:28
Eno Sarris: It showed all the things that people thought were coming, so yes.

12:28
JDogg: Eno! Can you rank’em for this year? HDH categories re-draft … Pillar, Granderson, Will Myers, Ozuna

12:28
Eno Sarris: Granderson Ozuna Myers

12:28
bum bum be-dum: Do you think Hosmer is due for a power breakout or is this essentially what he is?

12:28
Eno Sarris: He is this and it is grand.

12:28
OnSight: Will last years change in pitch mix allow Taijuan walker to reach the next level?

12:29
Eno Sarris: He’s changing again. Honestly don’t know. Plus stuff, minus command.

12:29
JDogg: Roberto Osuna is now a Top ___ closer?

12:29
Eno Sarris: 10

12:29
Jeet: My friend took Donaldson #1 in a NBFC draft and said that he was worried about Trout in that lineup. Are you worried about Trout’s counting number in that lineup?

12:29
Eno Sarris: It’s enough to make an argument for Harper but not Donalson, IMO.

12:29
JDogg: Trade Ian Desmond for Maikel Franco? in a vacuum

12:30
Eno Sarris: yes.

12:30
Eno Sarris: but be careful with the vacuum.

12:31
Eno Sarris: Two of my favorite rappers, produced by another:

12:31
WildThing: What’s your take on Kenta Maeda? He doesn’t have overpowering stuff, but has looked fantastic this spring. Not a high K guy, but can he at least post a K/9 in the 7 range?

12:31
Eno Sarris: Better than I thought. I’ll revise from 3.8 to 3.6 but only give him 7K9 at most.

12:31
Stop Jinxing Gausman: Eno. What can you tell me about the effects of pitch sequence on the effectiveness of each individual pitch.

12:32
Eno Sarris: You can improve your swinging strike rate by as much as 3.8% by pairing the right pitches in the right order. http://www.hardballtimes.com/the-effects-of-pitch-sequencing/

12:33
hscer: Hello. Regular season soon. Goodbye.

12:33
Eno Sarris: whoohoo!

12:33
hal: brito roto relevant if he gets 500 ABs?

12:33
Eno Sarris: That means Tomas v LHP only, which is super possible, given how chunky that dude is and how bad his plate approach is. I like him more than Tomas, mostly because the price is lower, too.

12:34
Nelson: Are you holding onto any Cashner shares? Home starts only?

12:34
Eno Sarris: I’ve bought a couple. I’d like to see him throw more of his secondary stuff to keep people off his fastball.

12:34
daneyko: bold prediction for Cody Anderson

12:34
Eno Sarris: Makes three starts this year.

12:34
Maxamuz: Think Drew Storen will get more than 20 holds this year assuming he stays setup all year?

12:34
Eno Sarris: Him and Cecil make a good 1-2 punch.

12:35
Tom: Hey Eno, could you see Joe Ross being more valuable than Yordano Ventura this season? Would you take one over the other right now?

12:35
Eno Sarris: In my heart, Joe Ross is moving up and Ventura is moving down. I can’t yet take Ross over Ventura, who made some strides late last year, but given their prices, waiting for Ross makes more sense to me now. I’ve done that.

12:36
JDogg: In a daily league where reverse SP/RP’s hold some value .. RP’s that can be used in SP slots to collect holds. In this case, do you like Bauer or May better to collect holds and rack up k’s?

12:36
Eno Sarris: May because I think he’ll be in pen all year. He’s the best SP/RP.

12:36
jon: Hi Eno – Do you want Shane Greene or Kyle Gibson for the back of your staff in 15-team H2h 5×5? thanks!

12:36
Eno Sarris: Gibson first.

12:36
Zorak: Loved your THT article on ballpark food. Always nice to remember how lucky I am with Citi Field, and now they’re adding the chicken sandwiches from Fuku which are ::flame emoji::. Doing a similar one for beer?

12:37
Eno Sarris: Yes, actually, doing an E-book for BeerGraphs that’s the same thing but a little spruced up. It’s behind schedule, naturally, because life.

12:37
The Dude of NY: The NSF rejected my research proposal to see if a bird in he hand is truly worth two in bush.

12:38
The Cincinnati Kid: Hey Eno, sorry I’m late…I was out fighting crime

12:38
Maxamuz: I’m getting tired of waiting for guys to be put on the DL in fantasy leagues.

12:38
Eno Sarris: yah.

12:38
TP for my Byung Ho: Odorizzi over Pineda??? You have Pineda ranked way higher. Anyway I have both

12:39
Eno Sarris: I’m telling you, these chats are very interesting for those moments. Pineda makes me nervous in the way Tanaka should. Nervous enough to put the Yankees out of the playoffs in my predictions.

12:39
Reginald Denton III: Who ends up closing in SF this year?

12:39
Eno Sarris: Strickland most saves.

12:39
Miketron: Cody Anderson has 15 Ks in 18 spring innings. Thats not a better strikeout rate than previously?

12:39
Eno Sarris: It is but it ain’t no Harvey.

12:39
BBK: Hey could you look at this pitching stat I just threw together? (K%-BB%) + (Soft%-Hard%)÷2. I’m a simpleton so any thoughts/insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, and keep it sexy Eno!

12:40
Eno Sarris: It’s great. The only problem is that pitchers have very little control over soft/hard, at least when judged by year to year stickiness and stabilization rates.

12:40
Reginald Denton III: So Andrew Miller is going to try to *play through* the injury? You think he can do that?

12:40
Eno Sarris: Apparently the bone is not important.

12:41
Bruce: Any ideas how to trade for great but not impossible to find beers like Treehouse, pseudoSue, ect, if I dont have much in my cellar and my available local beers arent really desired?

12:41
Eno Sarris: I’ve actually done some trading of beers I traded for… there’s also travel and family.

12:42
Gest : What’s so good about Eickhoff?

12:42
Eno Sarris: Elite level breaking ball. If the change doesn’t work great, the second breaking ball looks good. Needs slightly better command than he’s shown this spring.

12:42
Chris Bosh: Weekly Sam Dyson check– Is he actually behind Wilhelmsen and Kela like the Bullpen Report says? Or do you see that being updated in the near future?

12:42
Eno Sarris: I’ll yell at them. Or not. I don’t see that as true.

12:43
Juan Nicasio: Now that I have won the starting job in Pitt, where is my ceiling in terms of NL SP? Sub 4 FIP and 120 innings a reasonable expectation?

12:44
Eno Sarris: I dunno about him. Not keeping velocity that awesomely into his starts, not throwing the change much. What are we basing his greatness on other than Searage. Not every pitcher Mazzone touched turned to gold.

12:45
Matthew Davis : How much FAAB in high-stakes NFBC league would you bid on Dyson and/or Knebel?

12:45
Eno Sarris: I don’t think everyone’s on my Dyson train for once. I think you can get for less than five.

12:45
Eno Sarris: (out of 100)

12:45
iron wolf: Eno: emergency! (Kind of.) AL-only draft tonight. Lots of cash and a full complement of starters. Do you like Coghlan? He could be multi-positional eligible (A’s planning on using him at all OF spots and at 2B and 3B).

12:45
Eno Sarris: Yes. I think he’ll push his way into starting at 2B 2/3 of time.

12:45
Papa gon’ dance: MASTER OF PUPPETS IS PULLING YOUR STRINGS

12:46
Eno Longer Here: When should my subsidiary chat in the comments section begin? I forget last year’s precedent…

12:46
Gareth : Roberto Perez has a killer arm. Led all catchers in caught sb % last year.

12:46
Eno Sarris: Well that’s an interesting choice for your ludes.

12:46
Reginald Denton III: What will Ryan Zimmerman do this season?

12:46
Eno Sarris: Be really good for 250 PA, okay slash injured for 100-150 more, on DL for rest.

12:47
Kion: Back of your rotation starter, Adam Conley or Cody Anderson?

12:47
Eno Sarris: Conley. Has the same velo boost and has the best secondary pitch of the group (change).

12:47
Alex in Austin: Small point, but seems strange Story’s hitting 2nd over Parra and DJ. That’s gotta be a short leash right?

12:47
Eno Sarris: Once the Ks start coming.

12:47
D’Angelo Russell: Can you upload videos to this chat?

12:48
Eno Sarris: You can embed youtube, I think.

12:48
duggy lugs: corey dickerson or stephen piscotty in dynasty

12:48
Eno Sarris: Dickerson

12:48
Nitro: Position scarcity question – Cano or Cain in very deep league?

12:48
Eno Sarris: Deeper the league, the more scarcity matters. Cano.

12:48
Reek: Picking one between Peavy, Bassitt, and Shane Greene, which do you pick?

12:48
Eno Sarris: Bassitt.

12:48
Gareth : Do you like ketel marte and Joe panic as infielders in fantasy? Just did a draft and missed out of top infield guys and this was the remnants.

12:48
Eno Sarris: Hopefully 15 teams or deeper, but if so, sure, fine.

12:48
Gareth : Have you tried hop juju from fatheads?

12:48
Eno Sarris: Headhunter, and I loved it.

12:49
Carson Fulmer: Can I stay a starter and when will I get a shot at the MLB?

12:49
Eno Sarris: I think so, but I bet you’re up as a reliever this year.

12:49
Zach: Hey Eno, what’re your expectations for Patrick Corbin, Alex Cobb, and Derek Holland this season?

12:49
Eno Sarris: Mostly good, mostly injured, and mostly bad.

12:50
Howard Dean: I’m reading the MLB food map and noticed you left out all 87 Famous Ray’s Pizzerias. Please revise ASAP. Byahhhhhh

12:50
PINEAPPLE SUCKS: THIS MESSAGE BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE STOP RUINING PIZZA BOARD

12:50
Eno Sarris: small pizza lude.

12:50
Eno Sarris: are you the drinker or the drinkee

12:50
Michelle: So.. how big of a mistake did I make when I bought Matt Adams this year in an only league?

12:51
Eno Sarris: Still could beat out Moss for vs righties work at first.

12:51
Otis: Trevor Bauer, AL CY Young?

12:51
Otis: I know you’re rooting for him

12:51
Eno Sarris: no and no

12:51
ROBBIE RAY: HHAHENO U SAID SOMETHING “NICE” ABOUT ME WELL GUESS WHAT MADEYA LOOK — I SUCK

12:51
peno buttis: i peno buttis

12:51
Joel: Have you ever written anything about your auction draft philosophies? I need to learn because I feel like I should be doing them.

12:52
Eno Sarris: I’ve talked about them on the podcast a bunch. I prefer not to have dollar bats, at all, and save the dollar guys to relievers and last pitchers. I try to get two second rounders instead of paying for the top-top guys.

12:52
Greg : With the news of Reyes having the charges against him dropped, are you investing some shares in Story? Do you think if he hits he keeps the job all year? What say you?

12:54
Eno Sarris: Very tepid foot in the water with Story. Could easily strike out a ton and cede the job to Reyes when he comes back. Charges dropped suggests to me Reyes gets no longer suspension than Chapman. Rox could release him or jettison him for little, citing clubhouse / team culture reasons, but that might take some time.

12:54
Jompo Chief Osoyunti: Butthurt is going both ways in this thread, belters calling montrose bourgeoisie white bread hipster republik, and loopers calling the burbs bland strip center white bread SUV stick family land…

12:54
Eno Sarris: It’s hard to keep up.

12:54
Eno Sarris: (I have many friends on both sides of this debate anyway, it’s fine.)

12:54
Ritt Momney: Eickhoff or John Lamb?

12:54
Eno Sarris: eickhoff.

12:54
Diamond D: Any concern over your boy Desclafani’s injury?

12:55
Eno Sarris: The oblique is super important. But they seem to think he can be back in April, so maybe not so bad.

12:55
Bruce: Any way to explain how Archie bradley went from the top pitching prospect in the game to a steaming pile of dreck? Looking back on his minors stats, why was he even a top prospect?

12:55
Eno Sarris: People thought he could develop a change that he never did.

12:56
Jompo Chief Osoyunti: I don’t have a lot of rural skills, but you bet your ass I know what to do when a goat goes into labor…

12:56
Eno Sarris: That’s an interesting way to take this.

12:56
TP for my Byung Ho: Sometimes in the morning, especially after a night of drinking, I have to pee so bad that I sit down.

12:56
Eno Sarris: more of a middle of the night thing for me, because I’m so bleary eyed I might miss the entire toilet and have to hear about it in the morning.

12:56
Zorn: 15 team NFBC. You’re up and Stanton, Rizzo, Cabrera and Bryant are on the board. Who ya got?

12:56
Eno Sarris: Rizzo.

12:57
B.B. Rodriguez: I somehow was able to draft Trout, Betts and Posey in a 12 team points. Rest of lineup really solid. Is Grienke, Carrasco, Ross, Odirizzi, Pocello a decent staff? Also have Berrios.

12:57
Eno Sarris: You sitting pretty.

12:57
Gest : I see whiff% is often used to evaluate the quality of a pitch/pitcher. Is there value in using non-swinging strikes to evaluate, or is that mostly the batters’ responsibility?

12:57
Eno Sarris: Apparently called strikes and swinging strikes are of equal stickiness year to year but I… I just… I just don’t believe it. I want stuff first.

12:58
PJ: Votto’s .516 spring training OBP is lower than his 2015 2nd half OBP (.535). He’s now OBP’d above .500 for nearly 400 PA. Silly, eh?

12:58
Eno Sarris: Nice.

12:58
Howard Dean: O/U 30/50 combined for Joc and DeShields

12:58
Eno Sarris: Under because of DeShields job risk.

12:58
Bob: My Lackey and Ian Desmond for Corey Seager. Deep league, pull the trigger?

12:58
Eno Sarris: YAS.

12:59
Bruce: Hold Rusney or drop him yesterday?

12:59
Eno Sarris: smaller than 12 teamers with 8 bench, he gone.

12:59
dayanks: Rise in global warming -> more home runs.

12:59
Eno Sarris: Temperature is huge.

12:59
Bork: I was typing a lude for this chat in this text box and wasn’t paying attention so I accidentally typed it into an email for work. I hope they enjoy Votto’s dickstand as much as I do.

1:00
Maxamuz: Its Story time.

1:00
Jimmer : Christ I’m bored as hell at work

1:00
Eno Sarris: we should be helping a little bit.

1:01
Eno Sarris:

1:01
Chronicles of Reddick: Does Salazar take the next step this year, would make the Tribe’s top 3 pretty solid.

1:01
Eno Sarris: I think the curve is impressive and what he needs to make the whole thing work.

1:02
Eric: “Reverse curve” that ain’t gonna work. Go with “reverser.”

1:02
Eno Sarris: THE REVERSER.

1:02
Tony Starks: Did you mean Drew Smyly could be a top 20 SP in the MLB if his shoulder holds up? The question asked if he would be a top _ in the AL – just wanted to clarify. Thx Eno

1:02
Eno Sarris: AL top 20.

1:02
Broseph: Any thoughts on Ottavino as a saves sleeper this season? Beyond?

1:03
Eno Sarris: 100% beyond. Might take past this year.

1:03
David: Russian River hanging out with Firestone. What’s your prediction? Wookey the Elder? Pliny Jack? https://twitter.com/FirestoneWalker/status/715573344033222656

1:03
Eno Sarris: oooooooooooh

1:03
LudeBurger: Sorry, Eno. Going over to Paul’s chat. He loves me more. Unless you prove otherwise…I am the LudeBurger

1:03
Eno Sarris: Paul’s chat shouldn’t start until 11…

1:04
Eno Sarris: my time. oh well. first time. next time we’ll have this lined up so you can have both of us for hours.

1:04
Bork: So no one at FG has answered this question yet. Barry Bonds can still hit with power. Do you think he’d sign with a team to play just to reset his HOF clock?

1:05
Eno Sarris: He got frozen out of playing due to collusion if you ask me. Those forces still in power.

1:05
Vasil v : Will Brad miller go 20/20

1:05
Eno Sarris: no because he’ll sit against lefties.

1:05
Floyd: What do you think of Straily on the Padres?

1:05
Eno Sarris: hoping he’s their 6/7 starter right now, but rough that he has no options. Will have to be in the bullpen at first.

1:06
Oscar Wilde’s Fourth Lude: But who will lude for the children, dearest Eno?

1:06
First Time Poster: I made the mistake of joining a league with a bunch of old dudes… so god damn stubborn.

1:07
Miketron: “I guess the main issue is I hold my urine in for too long, instead of peeing regularly”

1:07
Eno Sarris: phew.

1:08
Mike: Between Sandoval, Hanley, Rusney Castillo’s 72 million, and David Price, what do you think will be the worst dead weight contract on Boston’s roster at the end of 2016?

1:08
Eno Sarris: Castillo and Pablo will be gone, so Hanley’s I guess.

1:08
Eno Sarris: UPDATE: Sporer just posted the thing too early, he’s not chatting for an hour.

1:08
Eno Sarris: So you can chat for four hours today if you like.

1:09
Xian: Miguel Gonzalez is a non power pitcher, how can you lose 4 mph on your fastball without an injury ?

1:10
Eno Sarris: Yeah that’s not good. I hadn’t heard that, but then it makes sense.

1:11
Eno Sarris: guess it’s Wright and Despaigne until Gausman gets back?

1:11
MN BEN: RE DL: they go on the DL right before their first game starts. 90% of the time. It sucks for fantasy.

1:11
Eno Sarris: So Monday for a ton of guys.

1:11
Guest: people seem to think starling marte will regress to 13-15 hrs, 25 sb and a rising k rate. you buying that or do you believe in martes 2015 minus a bit of the power?

1:12
Eno Sarris: Steals age horribly. I’ll take him at the cost of projections, though. They might be regressing him a little hard for his age.

1:12
dprat: Any of these spring training wonders have much interest for you in a dynasty league: Naquin, Drury, Brito?

1:12
Eno Sarris: Brito more. Naquin an empty batting average, probably, Drury buried.

1:13
Matt: The title got cut off, but if that Was Preservation by Del and Aesop Rock, that is one of my favorite songs of all time. Good choice.

1:13
Eno Sarris: It was. For people blocked, we’ve had Young Guv, Aesop/Del, Matador, Sofi Tukker, and White Denim.

1:14
Brian: From a non fantasy perspective, whats your opinion on the Bauer to the pen news.

1:14
Eno Sarris: I’m not big on Tomlin and still suspicious of Cody Anderson. I think it’s a mistake from a real-life standpoint that will be corrected as soon as the roster crunch comes and they have to send someone down.

1:14
Ol Sea Capn : Twins K/9 last year was 6.52. League average was like 7.8. And they just sent down Tyler Duffy with his 8.22 k/9 last year. They have a rep of not liking high k guys so I think there might be a connection. My question is … what’s the strategy here if there is a string correlation when mapped of wins to k/9? Thanks for being awesome.

1:15
Eno Sarris: I’m not sure it’s as crazy as we think it is, but it does sorta look like smoke/fire. I’ll be interested in Gibson, who struck out a batter per inning and has the stuff to K more, and has even said he might K more this year.

1:15
Make WAR not Love: I want more reverse curveballs. Coolest pitch ever – would that literally break pitch/fx?

1:16
Eno Sarris: They’d probably be called changeups, and would be weird. But Collmenter’s reverse curve was called a curve, too.

1:16
Eggs: Who are you higher on among these SPs for this year only: Alex Wood, Matt Moore, DeScla, Gausman.

1:16
Eno Sarris: That order, though I like DeScla when in a bit more than Moore.

1:16
Matt: I’ve got my eyes on Nate Jones. Any chance the Sox crumble for the second year in a row and trade D-Rob at the deadline?

1:16
Eno Sarris: There’s that chance, and injury. Nate up there among handcuffs.

1:17
FreeBee: Who is the boss at Fangraphs?

1:18
Eno Sarris: If you mean who wears the leather jacket, it’s Podhorzer probably. If you mean who’s the top man, it’s David Appelman!

1:18
Mike: Eno Sarris firmly in the Bauer camp. Is that bias cuz you’re buddies, or do you really think he’s back in the rotation in no time?

1:19
Eno Sarris: He has good stuff. 23rd in K/9 last year. I start with stuff. I’m buddies with Dan Straily and I didn’t just say he needs to start now. I’m buddies with Sam Fuld and I’m not on here talking about how he needs to be the center fielder. outta here with that crap.

1:19
Eno Sarris: DAN HAREN FOR THE HALL. come on people.

1:20
Tyson Ross: Where do I get traded to this summer?

1:20
Eno Sarris: Boston?

1:20
hscer: wait, there’s an actual real life person named Socrates Brito? like, that’s not a fictional character?

1:20
Eno Sarris: Real person, but the puns have already been assassinated.

1:21
Ampersand: I share a name with a certain relief pitcher. How many rounds early can I justify drafting him to ensure that name synergy? Also, if I somehow intercepted one of his paychecks, how illegal would it be for me to deposit it? I mean, same name, so…

1:21
Eno Sarris: Man if there was an Eno Sarris in the league…

1:21
Andy5: Recently had Lady of the Night, a dry hopped sour from Seattle’s Urban Family Brewing. It’s brewed with Nelson and Azacca hops. Yeah.

1:21
Eno Sarris: Sounds nice.

1:21
TJ: Robert Stephenson — good spring reports but then that clunker last time out. Think he has a chance to make an impact this year?

1:22
Eno Sarris: Something about him doesn’t float my boat. Power fastball, but the breaking ball… is it enough? Not great command or change.

1:22
SK1: What do you make of James Shields? Horrible year last year, does he have a chance to bounce back? How would you order Shields, Smyly and Kyle Gibson?

1:23
Eno Sarris: Smyly Shields Gibson, but its looking like no shares of Shields for me. If he gave up all those homers in San Diego…

1:23
Rob: I have Puig ($16), Betts ($7), Blackmon ($18), and Springer ($12) and THREE outfield spots in a $300, 12-team mixed keeper league. Who should I shop and why?

1:24
Eno Sarris: No util slot? If you really can’t play one of them… shoot. I’d say Puig but he’s not going to bring same value. Blackmon I guess.

1:24
SK1: Do you see David Peralta taking a step forward? I’m thinking of trading Gardner for him

1:24
Eno Sarris: Not a step forward, but I believe in what he’s done.

1:24
Bork: So I’m going to be doing a beer tour of microbreweries in Ottawa with a bunch of people who don’t drink anything but the basic Molson Canadian. There is a large chance they will all pass off 90% of the beer for the day to me. How do I survive this day?

1:25
Eno Sarris: Water, put some down, and try to engage them on the flavors and smells so they get into it?

1:25
First Time Poster: Why is Jorge Posada’s name always at the top of the search queue?

1:25
Eno Sarris: I think someone’s scraper is just using that as an entry point or getting stuck there for whatever reason.

1:25
Johnny5Alive: so i ket my $1 hudson through roster freeze, zeigler has been awful this spring, but will hudson get any saves?

1:26
Eno Sarris: I have Hudson pretty high on my list of setup men that should become closers. if you judge Ziegler by the things that have traditionally been used to judge closers (velocity, k%), he’s really bad. Then again, he’s not traditional and he’s a really good reliever most of the time.

1:26
Manuel: Most SBs at SS: Segura, C Hernandez, Ketel, Story, Turner?

1:26
Eno Sarris: Hernandez!

1:27
heh heh: yeah i hear pitchers have very little control over soft/hard — it’s because of their jock straps being a little too tight!!!!!!!!!! anybody??? anybody????

1:27
Eno Sarris: groan

1:27
heh heh: Yeah Eno, sure — the bone is not important. Sounds like my ex-wife!!!!!! anybody?? anybody????

1:27
Eno Sarris: oh no no no

1:27
Eric: Pomeranz is the other SP pitching late innings, no? Him and May.

1:27
Eno Sarris: I have Travis Wood in one league, and there’s Ivan Nova.

1:28
Stan: Is there a better Belgian White than Allagash

1:28
Eno Sarris: no.

1:28
MarinerDan: Schoop over/under on HRs: 22

1:28
Eno Sarris: Over.

1:28
Carl: What do you think of park (twins)?

1:28
Eno Sarris: .250/22 or so.

1:28
Future projection: How early does z-swing and k% stabilize in T-ball?

1:28
Eno Sarris: god if you striking out in T-Ball…

1:28
Maxamuz: Tell me good things about Cesar Hernandez and Josh Harrison. I have them both as bench depth because of their position elig. CH seems like a sneaky good pickup this year though. Harrison I’d like more if he would hit leadoff.

1:29
Eno Sarris: I like CH. I don’t see why he can’t .270/5/30 type of season. They going to run him out there all year.

1:29
Johnny5Alive: I live in Georgia now, work a real job. I am flying to NY tomorrow night for my fantasy auction on Saturday and then flying back Sunday for work Monday. Is that crazy?

1:29
Eno Sarris: My job is, at least in huge part, fantasy baseball, which seems equally crazy / not crazy.

1:29
Make My Team Great Again: Is Marwin legit?

1:29
Eno Sarris: As a backup utility guy, yes.

1:29
MarinerDan: What is more likely: Grichuck hits 30 bombs or bats under .250?

1:29
Eno Sarris: Under .250.

1:30
Eno Sarris: I like maybe four versions of this song.

1:31
Rob: Do you drink artisan roasted coffee? If so, favorite roaster?

1:31
Eno Sarris: No coffee for this acid reflux tummy.

1:31
John : Do you think the next inefficiency that MLB teams will look to pursue is establishing a holistic philosophy between scouting, player development, medical, and analytical departments?

1:31
Eno Sarris: I think they doing that now on better teams. Development is the one lagging behind.

1:32
Jasper: Ryan Dull finally got knocked around a bit after not allowing a run all spring. Still, 14 Ks against 2 BBs in 10 IP. How does his stuff play against MLB hitters? Does he have a future at the top of a bullpen?

1:32
Eno Sarris: yes. Really like him. A Romo type. Deception and a plus plus slider.

1:32
Make My Team Great Again: i recently proclaimed Oskar Blues IPA as my new personal flagship. I find the local stuff revolution, two bros, finch, emmetts etc underwhelming.

1:33
Eno Sarris: Revolution… are you in Chicago? What about Half Acre and Pipeworks?

1:33
ryN: ok with a Semien/Desmond platoon at SS or should I make a move for Bogaerts?

1:33
Eno Sarris: I like that platoon.

1:33
Dave: How does scarcity matter more in a deeper league? The replacement level in a 10+ team only league is about as equally dreadful at all offensive positions save catcher if you’re using a two catcher league.

1:34
Eno Sarris: 10 team only leagues are super deep. If you’re talking a ten team mixed league… I just drafted in a 11-team mixed league with no MI, CI, three OF… I spent $105 on Trout and Correa and my worst players are Zobrist, Odor, Piscotty. In 12-teamers, get the bats, and worry about shortstop late.

1:34
Trevor Bauer: Dude. I thought we were buds.

1:35
Eno Sarris: We are. You said yourself that you are terrible and doing your best to get the most out of your terrible stuff.

1:35
A Led Miss: On Segura, I think what everyone forgets is when Braun clubbed him in the back of the head with a warm up swing. There was never a lot of serious concussion *talk* but, that had to be a serious concussion. I think concussion diagnosis varies a ton from player to player depending on their attitudes toward treatment, relations with the press etc etc

1:35
Eno Sarris: Nice one.

1:35
Inigo Montoya: Hey Eno…I have a conference call in ten minutes, so please take my question…what are your thoughts on Parra in Coors and what % chance does Bassit bust?

1:36
Eno Sarris: Bassitt is a decently high floor in Oakland. If by bust you mean out of rotation, I’ll give him 35% or so. If you mean unusable in a mixed league, way higher, 65% or so. He’s a deep league innings play with a 35% chance of mixed league excellence.

1:36
Eno Sarris: Parra in Coors is going to look like he did last year, so not much better, but it will stave off regression.

1:36
Jasper: Is “poor-man’s Jose Bautista” too much to ask for Danny Valencia? Joey wasn’t especially great against RHP before he finally busted out in his age-30 season.

1:37
Eno Sarris: Interesting comp. I mean, sometimes guys figure it out. I’m skeptical that Valencia figured out righties in one season at this point.

1:37
Gareth : The indians opening day outfield went from chisenhall Almonte davis to davis naquin byrd. Still awful, but which combo do you prefer?

1:37
Eno Sarris: Chisenall davis naquin lol. I like Chis. I hope he’s not gone too long.

1:38
Johnny Manziel: When is the next Sporer chat? The people want more Sporer!!! (and Eno of course)

1:38
Eno Sarris: Sporer chatting at 14:15 ET.

1:38
Mick D: Is it possible the Padres convince the BoSox to take Kemp, Melvin Upton and Shields for Castillo, Panda and 2 AAA starters? It would mean the BoSox would be desperate to dump 2 mistakes for a marginal return. Sort of a reverse of the LA bailout of the BoSox a few years ago.

1:38
Eno Sarris: I would love it just for the theater. it’s not crazy, but I’d say unlikely.

1:38
Ray: Deep league, need SP. Which SEA pitcher do I pick up: Karns or Miley?

1:38
Eno Sarris: Karns, more Ks and more velocity now.

1:39
Kevin: How many at-bats do you think Soler gets this year? HR projections?

1:39
Eno Sarris: Man right now it looks like 300-400, which would mean like 15 homers would be decent.

1:39
Shawn: Also pee sitting down to not wake up the little one. That is, if you don’t have a castle like Eno

1:39
Eno Sarris: Yes, also true.

1:39
forever it: Any opinion on some of the international signees? I have Eddy Martinez, Vlad Jr. and Leodys Taveras in a dynasty league

1:39
Eno Sarris: Most excited about Vladdy.

1:39
Todd: Do you have a Tyler White opinion?

1:40
Eno Sarris: I bet he beats his batting average projection.

1:40
Mike: So, what do we do about Kim in 12tm mixed? Move on or hold out hope?

1:40
Eno Sarris: Move on.

1:41
Make My Team Great Again: i am going to brew a black rye pa with a belgian yeast strand. was this a good choice? also need to name it. any suggestions?

1:42
Eno Sarris: Call it Bad Kompany? (soccer reference)

1:42
Sour Ale: How worried should I be by the Mets lack of Spring training wins? Not at all or a little bit?

1:42
Eno Sarris: Not at all. Half the game played by minor leaguers.

1:42
The Dog: Have to choose between Lindor and Schwarber for my last keeper slot in 15 team keep long-term with increasing price each year, both as cheap as allowed for this year. Please make up my mind for me as my head has already exploded over this.

1:42
Eno Sarris: Schwarber going to catch some, I see Lindor retreating a bit to a more replaceable skillset.

1:43
Buy low?: Send Hughes for DeSclafani in a dynasty pts lg?

1:43
Eno Sarris: Yes.

1:43
Rukdnme: Reyes will get at least 2x Chapman suspension, maybe 3x … (carefully worded:) his wife ended up in the hospital, somehow …

1:44
Eno Sarris: Let me just put it this way: I’d be surprised if his career was over. I’m not condoning anything he might have done, nor do I not think it’s a big deal.

1:44
80085: is wacha gonna be turrible this year?

1:45
Eno Sarris: No, but my research did show that the link between changeup swinging strike rate and overall K% was the weakest — I think because the change gets a lot of weak contact and gets used as a super sinker. We may not see more strikeouts from him.

1:45
Scott: Remember Kenshin Kawakami? He wasn’t very good.

1:45
Eno Sarris: And the guy that kept coming up in comps for Maeda was him, but Maeda is at least five years younger than KK was when he came over.

1:45
The Hamburglar: I went to Asheville fully expecting the beer scene to be overrated. Could not be more wrong. Wicked Weed ftw.

1:45
Eno Sarris: Those sours are great.

1:46
Snarfle: In the future, you’ll be able to hyperloop into the future. But never the past, Eno, never the past.

1:46
JoseReyes: apologize if this is a dumb question – how big of a difference is the pitchfx data in mlb compared to minor leagues? do they publish pitch fx?

1:46
Eno Sarris: We don’t get minor league data for Pfx unless they play a futures game type thing in a major league park.

1:46
eno soup for you: Auction Calculator Question: plugged in my league settings for pitchers (standard + hld + qs) and was surprised at how valuable it thinks RP are. Is it off, or have we always been overvaluing SP? For instance, it has guys like Grimm, Kelley, Casilla, Hudson over Danny Salazar

1:47
Eno Sarris: Try suppressing the RP values or using the experimental tab.

1:47
Jeff: Addison Russell at top 5 shortstop by the end of the year? I see a 20/10 season with a bunch of runs.

1:47
Eno Sarris: I should have made that bold prediction. Crap. More reasonable is .260/18/8 or so.

1:48
Bartolo Colon’s Ass: I like to think im pretty prodigious too

1:48
Snarfle: Can you believe beryllium is FOURTH on the periodic table? You NEVER hear about beryllium.

1:48
Ax Man: A’s roster makes a lot more sense with Khrush and his non-arm at DH and Butler just cut. Could it happen?

1:48
Eno Sarris: They going to try to nurse whatever value they can out of that contract.

1:48
Chris Bosh: RE: Brad Miller, Cash dismissed any possibility of a platoon with Tim Beckham… .234/.261/.252 vs. L in 2015. Yuck.

1:49
Eno Sarris: However they do it, I think they still find a way to sit him against lefties, given their history with platoons, and Miller’s.

1:49
PitchesBrew: Here’s the thing about “cheddar bay” biscuits from Red Lobster — the image of a whole bay full of cheddar cheese is disgusting.

1:49
Snarfle: We start getting dugout shamans in what year?

1:49
Dave: How surprised would you be if Luis Severino is the most valuable pitcher on the Yankees by season end?

1:49
Eno Sarris: Not at all. Innings really only question, and they are questions for the other good starters.

1:50
Jays: Drafted Kang and Park last night. We got some ho’s in this house.

1:50
Make WAR not Love: Beer farts or taco farts? the answer is no one wins

1:50
Snarfle: Managers should be allowed to put themselves in, but there should also be a rule that they can’t actually be good at baseball. Retired players are okay, but they have to be legit retired.

1:51
Gareth : Kipnis to the outfield with Jose Ramirez as the everyday 2b makes too much sense, right?

1:51
Eno Sarris: I don’t know why they don’t do this!

1:51
Ryan: Ichiro: 3,000 or nah? (please don’t say nah)

1:51
Eno Sarris: He’ll hang on until he does it.

1:51
Gareth : I work at a beer wine and liquor store in Avon, ohio. You are welcome to stop by anytime. Be sure to try some Platform brewing company. Speed merchant ipa is excellent!

1:51
Eno Sarris: Nice!

1:51
Mike: You’re at a baseball game. Do you a) drink Miller Light type beer that the vendors schelp around so you don’t miss the game, or b) take a walk to get a micro and miss some of the action?

1:53
Eno Sarris: c) time the entire game around my micro action. like, go to the public house early, get two beers for myself. then go during the bottom of the 6th so I get the stretch to walk back during. Something like that. I’m not crazy.

1:53
Guest: Not enough attention is paid to the fact that you and Carson went to the same high school imo

1:53
Eno Sarris: Weird or totally expectable?

1:53
Snarfle: What is your favorite kind of yarn?

1:53
Eno Sarris: lol

1:54
BBK: Is Jimmy Nelson the poor man’s Garrett Richards?

1:54
Eno Sarris: Not bad! He uses his curve more, has less velocity. But not bad.

1:54
Eno!: Tell me something awesome about all the players I just drafted, so I can feel even more smug.

1:54
Eno Sarris: They are all going to be first rounders next year.

1:55
Trystan: #Ithrow884HOF

1:55
Zorak: Is the upside of McCullers worth a fight with the commissioner and the possibility of getting my first day of stats tossed if he doesn’t go on the DL before sunday?

1:55
Eno Sarris: Yes

1:55
BBK: Do you fear that Appelman will invite the fangraphs staff to a remote island and hunt you for sport?

1:55
Eno Sarris: Hahaahahaahaha gotta tell him that one.

1:56
Snarfle: Cleveland should really change their name to the Spiders. I know that some people are legit terrified of spiders, but that’s what makes it great.

1:56
Sad Sam: Have you had Three Boobs ESB from RI. Its incredible.

1:56
Snarfle: Senior year of college I named the spider that lived in the ceiling corner of my room.

1:56
Zorak: How are you feeling about Adam Eaton? Love his game, don’t think I’ve heard a single thing about him all spring.

1:56
Eno Sarris: Love him, think he can hit 10 homers in a healthy year, only worried about offseason shoulder surgery, which he claims was minor.

1:57
Gatorade7: With nearly every expert espousing to spend no money on starting pitching and every owner reading it…I spent $82/260 budget on Sale,Carrasco,Gray, & Stroman in an AL only. Followed up with ERod & Erasmo at $1 time. Is that a nutty contrarian strategy?

1:57
Eno Sarris: You playing the no whammies game, but so is everyone else to some extent.

1:57
Trystan: How many years are we away from managers ACTUALLY putting their best relievers in at the best times not just in the 9th etc?

1:57
Eno Sarris: Seems the newest way for FOs to force this on their managers is to try and get three closer-worthy relievers.

Mp: Is there any way to search for your pitcher write ups specifically? I like your opinions on Pitchers and don’t want to miss any but also don’t want to click on each P to find out.

1:58
Eno Sarris: The Change is my column, has a tag on RotoGraphs. If you mean in the blurbs on the player pages… dunno.

1:58
CH: Thoughts on stouts during the summer heat?

1:58
Eno Sarris: Drink em cold.

1:58
GoBlue: I’m not a fan of Sierra Nevada in general, but Otra Vez surprised me. How representative of Gose as a style is it?

1:59
Eno Sarris: The cactus is a weird thing, but it’s a Gose for sure. And most Goses now add an extra taste. Try the blood orange Gose from Anderson Valley for a sweeter, slightly more mainstream Gose.

1:59
blankfrank: Drop Scalfani for Cody Anderson?

1:59
Eno Sarris: no.

1:59
Ritt Momney: Whoa whoa you’re taking Cesar Hernandez over Marte AND Turner for SB? Please explain (not trying to sound sarcastic)

2:00
Eno Sarris: Worried about Marte’s OBP, lineup slot. I think he’s a bit of a hacker. Turner, PT. Hernandez going to play.

2:00
Dumperooo: Poop.

2:00
Snarfle: If I was president, I would occasionally have the whole country skip days. Just jump straight from Monday to Wednesday–that kind of thing.

2:00
No Lude: Not this time.

2:00
Ampersand: Should I have a couple beers during a two-hour fantasy draft? If so what styles? Keep in mind I need to drive home not too long after it’s over.

2:00
Eno Sarris: Session IPA time. Easy Jack, or maybe AleSmith X.

2:00
Trystan: If you were a prospect would you prefer to go into the Cardinals system that seems to produce all the time or the Braves because so many spots are up for grabs or…?

2:01
Eno Sarris: Having spoken to non-elite prospects — elite ones get taken in the draft, have little choice for the most part — they care most about development practices. Who will let them train the way they want to.

2:02
Eno Sarris: Oh dude. Everyone take a pee break. Sporer in 15. I gotta go!

2:02
Derek: Eno! I’m Hella late so let me get two quick questions in. I started a beer share at work where six of us each buy a six pack and swap every payday. Should I got Weinhenstapher Vitus or Weisbier? Baseball Q: In Ottoneu 4×4 what lesser know RP can help me for $1?

2:02
Eno Sarris: Vitus.

2:02
Otis: ENO! OTIS REDDING IS WHY YOU FIND MY HANDLE UNDER OTIS, THE LEGEND BUILT HIS CATALOGUE BEFORE THE AGE OF 30, NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE APPRECIATE THE GREATNESS THAT IS OTIS, I’D TAKE HIM #1 OVERALL IN A MUSIC DRAFT

2:02
Derek: Most people only know Pink Floyd for The Wall or Dark Side of the Moon. Can we give some love to one of my favorite deep cuts? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=T_CATnUOngA

2:02
Trystan: Where can I get me a girlfriend?

2:02
Eno Sarris: probably not here.

2:02
Eno Sarris: okay I’m out.
