This is my chance and I’m blowing it.

12:02
Eno Sarris: Yup, other people all showed up and stuff.

12:02

I’m trying to do better than ask yet another Danny Espinosa question.

12:03
Eno Sarris: No.

12:03
Comment From Rob
Rank for ROS: Kang, Bogaerts, Semien, Zobrist, Lindor

12:03
Eno Sarris: Zobrist is so safe, I’ll take him first, then Kang, Semien, XB.

12:03
Comment From Shawn
Thoughts on Tyson Ross? A good buy target? Loads of GBs and Ks, just needs to cut back on the BBs a little bit?

12:04
Eno Sarris: Yeah I wish I liked his mechanics or arsenal a little better, but he’s been excellent.

12:04
Comment From Tommy Lasordid
Would major league managers benefit from a deck of Oblique Strategy cards?

12:04
Eno Sarris: I’m not sure they’d get them. Well, Maddon would, I bet.

12:04
Comment From John
Thoughts on Vincent Velazquez going forward? Anything more than a streaming starter in a beautiful shallow 10 team league?

12:04
Eno Sarris: The change was a bit hard, he was a bit wild, but the breakers and velocity were good. In a ten teamer, though, the bar is so high.

12:04
Comment From Brian
Eno, what do you think is Jon Niese’s trade value? Miley returned Rubby DLR and a prospect, Norris returned LJ Hoes, Porcello returned a lot.

12:05
Eno Sarris: Looks like he’s not enough for a retiring third baseman with terrible stats. I think the shoulder problems, combined with his mediocre stuff, overwhelm a reasonable contract.

12:05
Comment From ryN
Is it worth owning anyone in the Cubs bullpen right now in a 12-teamer?

12:05
Eno Sarris: Take your Pick. I have them Strop Rondon Soriano Motte.

12:05
Comment From Carson Smith
Yay for me! Do I keep the closer’s job ROS?

12:07
Eno Sarris: Rodney… I don’t usually go into body language and stuff, but that dude doesn’t seem like he cares much. And he has such bad command that if he can’t get ahead to use the splitter, batters can leave the bats on their shoulder. I’d put Smith a step behind some of the new closers like AJ Ramos, but I would call him the closer right now at least, which is different than calling him a fill-in.

12:07
Comment From Guest
Sup Eno, have a dilemma hoping you can help me out with. I’m supposedly really important to the future and it turns out there may be a cyborg from the future here to destroy me. My mom is going to help me out I think, and I’m 12 BTW

12:07
Eno Sarris: I hope you have that thingy that lets you take money out of any ATM.

12:07
Comment From Shyam
According to zips ROS, 1.3 WAR for Kimbrel, 0.9 for Maybin. How bad was that trade?

12:07
Eno Sarris: I don’t think there is that bad of a trade where you trade a reliever and get real-life assets back.

12:08
Comment From George be Curious
Did you hear about the closed door meeting John Farrell had with Koji the other day? Seems odd and slightly concerning, yet I’ve heard very little about it since!

12:08
Eno Sarris: Wonder if it was about fatigue, looking to the future. Junichi Tazawa is one of the better speculations right now.

12:08
Comment From Shawn
Hangover Cure?

12:08
Eno Sarris: Gatorade and eggs.

12:09
Eno Sarris: Not together that would be gross.

12:09
Comment From Pale Hose
Eno, what are some players that you’ve talked to that you would say have a more instinctual approach to the game?

12:10
Eno Sarris: Chris Carter didn’t even know he was in the midst of his worst strikeout period of his career when I talked to him. Sometimes players just don’t want to tell me stuff, I guess. Adrian Gonzalez claimed that his shoulder never changed his pull/oppo splits, but that’s impossible. Then there are the barrel on the ball cats, Hosmer and Joc.

12:10
Comment From G
Wieters or Hundley? Or should I try to roster both?

12:10
Eno Sarris: Hundley I guess.

12:10
Comment From Bryan
How different are Nolan Arenado and Kris Bryant in a dynasty league?

12:11
Eno Sarris: Not that different except that Arenado has the risk of being a worse player after a trade, Bryant doesn’t really have that risk. But why would the Rockies trade him.

12:11
Comment From Trade spec..
If Papelbon gets traded is Giles > Clippard ROS?

12:11
Eno Sarris: Yes

12:11
Comment From I Love Churros!
Thoughts on Vince Velasquez after his major league debut? Should I be running out to scoop him in my AL-only league?

12:11
Eno Sarris: Yes!

12:11
Comment From Zach Sanders
[Insert totally unprompted question here that in no way is meant to drum up other questions from the audience]

12:11
Eno Sarris: boys got my back

12:12
Eno Sarris: (There are suddenly hundreds of question in the queue again)

12:12
Comment From Jai
Is receiving Cashner for K. Morales worth it if I have Alex Guerrero and Souza on my bench?

12:12
Eno Sarris: Yes

12:12
Comment From Ev
Eovaldi or Velasquez ROS?

12:12
Eno Sarris: VV

12:12
Comment From Jack
Quick real baseball question: what could the Nats get for Espinosa, who is proving that his is very valuable, in a trade? Also you coming to DC for the meetup?

12:13
Eno Sarris: I think they need to keep him for depth. Rendon and all. Not coming to DC, but putting together a July 16 one in Chicago.

12:13
Comment From BM
ENO ENO ENO! Who’s my dropper when Dickerson comes back? Reddick, Souza, Pedro Alvarez, Fowler? Or should I just get rid of Addison Reed and keep the bench bat?

12:13
Eno Sarris: Reddick

12:13
Comment From Pale Hose
Three true outcomes of Eno: whiff (Hosmer), walk (Harper), home run (Moss).

12:13
Comment From jocephus
are you familiar with tallgrass brewing? specifically 8-bit or 16-bit

12:14
Eno Sarris: appropriately grassy IPAs. Had some in Chicago. Liked but didn’t love.

12:14
Comment From Kenny Powers
Too soon to stash Jose Berrios in my AL-only league? I’m very much in contention and don’t want to occupy a bench spot for too long, but man, I really want this guy on my team!!!

12:14
Eno Sarris: I mean if not now, never.

12:14
Comment From Jackson
Was offered Archie Bradley for Miguel Sano in a semi dynasty points league. Who would you rather own going forward?

12:14
Eno Sarris: Sano Sano Sano Sano Sano Sano and Sano

12:14
Comment From John
14 team points keeper league, Thor or McHugh and Tanaka? I’m worried about Tanaka, but that seems like the obvious side where starters are highly valued

12:15
Eno Sarris: McHugh is a decent enough hedge to take Tanaka.

12:15
Comment From hscer
I’m glad the Yankees and Nationals are done playing just so we don’t have to hear about Harper bailing for New York the instant he’s a free agent, as if there aren’t 28 other teams–including some with more money than the Yankees now!

12:15
Eno Sarris: Lamest thing about the Yankees is hearing this about great players and it doesn’t even come from Yankee fans most of the time.

12:15
Comment From Robin
How close is the Dark Knight 2015 to the Dark Knight 2013? Wondering how to value him from here on out. Anything interesting regarding his command to comment on?

12:16
Eno Sarris: I think the homers are a result of some TJ-based loss in command, but I also think he can overcome it with stuff and is still at top-12er the rest of the way.

12:16
Comment From Jack
Do you still believe in Solar a) this year b) long term c) rather have him or Dickerson in a long term keeper league?

12:16
Eno Sarris: a) yes b) yes c) no – Dickerson is pretty special and steals bases and plays in Colorado.

12:16
Comment From Tod
Time to stash Matz?

12:16
Eno Sarris: Yes

12:16
Comment From Guest
Eno I have a bit of a quagmire here in that there are weird, paranormal things happening where I live in NYC. Who am I gonna call? ps I live in an abandoned fire house

12:16
Eno Sarris: WHO YOU GONNA CALL

12:17
Comment From The Jude Law Chovy
I gave up $1 Thor and $9 Pollock to get $13 Puig in a 16 team keeper league. Did I make a mistake and undervalue Pollock?

12:17
Eno Sarris: Pollock is great, but don’t look too much at WAR and the like in fantasy. Puig is the best fantasy asset in that deal.

12:17
Comment From Jays Fan II
Will Papelbon be a Blue Jay some time soon?

12:17
Eno Sarris: Or a cub? Should be a Tiger?

12:18
Comment From cwsoxfan
If the White Sox sweep a 1st place team, would anybody notice? Nope.

12:18
Eno Sarris: I still like that team but they need to find some pitchers for the back end of that rotation, and the bats need to get going a bit.

12:18
Comment From Fanboy
I love, love, love Eduardo Rodriguez. That is all…

12:19
Eno Sarris: He’s very impressive. Velocity with a good change, command doesn’t seem to be a problem, and the breaker is good enough.

12:19
Comment From Matt
Currently sporting a Greinke/Carrasco/Lackey/Heston/Chase/Gio/Elias/Hutch/ERod/Velazquez starting rotation in a 12 team weekly points league. How comfortable would you feel with that? Hitting is very good.

12:19
Eno Sarris: Looking good. Feel like Hutch is droppable at this point. Velocity back down off peak.

12:19
Comment From Tony the Tiger
Think we get a much improved VMart upon his return?

12:20
Eno Sarris: Improved from earlier this season, but less than last year. Guess that’s obvious.

12:20
Comment From Toronto Blue Jays
~~Post this if you’re a strong independent Baseball team who don’t need no closer in your life~~

12:20
Eno Sarris: Was it like a month of zero saves for the team or something?

12:20
Comment From BM
By the way, screw shallow leagues and their high replacement level.

12:21
Eno Sarris: Have a hard time giving advice for them. Get the best player in every trade, go for upside on the wire I guess.

12:21
Comment From Bojack Horseman
How do you deal with the asshole owner in your fantasy league whose sole negotiating tactic is to belittle you and insist that they don’t really like the players they’re trying to acquire?

12:21
Eno Sarris: Earplugs and silence, but continued offers. It’s hard enough to get trades done. If you start ignoring idiots, you’ll never get a trade done.

12:21
Comment From cwsoxfan
Thoughts on Hector Olivera? Thanks

12:22
Eno Sarris: Ug. 30 and has some sort of energy disorder and is on a team full of options? Ug.

12:22
Comment From Bruce
Any impact SP going to be called up this year that isnt currently owned in my Otto league? Brian Johnson in BOS maybe?

12:22
Eno Sarris: That’s decent. Aaron Nola? Zach Lee? Not sure they are impact guys. Berrios of course.

12:23
Comment From Julio Pepper
I know this is a better question for Kiley, but suppose there were a 50FV player, but he was guaranteed to reach that (i.e. no variance around his projection). Would he go 1.1 in almost every draft?

12:23
Eno Sarris: I’d say yes if it was my squad. I like upside, but you guys know that I like floor a bit more when it comes to prospects.

12:23
Comment From Tony
Gardner keep it up the rest of the year? Need help in SB’s and based on our leagues setup he should be pretty attainable via trade.

12:24
Eno Sarris: Yeah he doesn’t seem like he’s over his head all nuts

12:24
Comment From Gary
Any insight on Miller? I’m gonna get killed in saves now.

12:24
Eno Sarris: Can’t drop him until it IS TJ.

12:24
Comment From The Jude Law Chovy
Mookie is just getting unlucky right? What outfield tier would you consider him fitting into next year? 16 team mixed league.

12:24
Eno Sarris: A little bit. Some pop-ups in there, too, which might rob him of a little batting average.

12:24
Comment From WT
if Cozart’s down for awhile – it looks bad – what are your thoughts on Eugenio Suarez?

12:24
Eno Sarris: Best option for NL-only players that need to replace Cozart.

12:25
Comment From Bryan
Concerned about Ian Kennedy ROS? It has not been pretty.

12:25
Eno Sarris: I dropped him in my twelve-team mixer with a six man bench.

12:25
Comment From Tony
Thoughts on Xander in the next couple years? Still on track to come near his projected ceiling from when he was top prospect?

12:25
Eno Sarris: Yes, I still really like him. His age should be kept in mind when you’re looking at his stats, which are actually pretty good already.

12:25
Comment From Pale Hose
Lude this if Cistulli is Appleman’s alter ego.

12:25
Comment From Bill Simmons
are you hiring?

12:25
Comment From hscer
Gatorade mixed with raw eggs will make an appearance in Rocky VIII

12:26
Eno Sarris: That lude actually came three in a row, which is weird.

12:26
Comment From cwsoxfan
Time to cut Melky? Guy has had 1 important AB, this entire season.

12:26
Eno Sarris: I’ve been saying he’s droppable. All soft contact, not taking steals, so upside is probably .270/7 rest of way or something awful like that.

12:27
Comment From Alan
I remember seeing all preseason that LIriano has thrown 165+ innings just once in his career. Should I be trying to sell him, or is he a hold?

12:27
Eno Sarris: I’d sell him.

12:27
Comment From eelz
if you could choose one “bad for you” food and make it “good for you,” what food would you choose? beer doesn’t count.

12:27
Eno Sarris: Pizza. Cause it’s terrible for my acid reflux and I want it so bad and I shouldn’t have it but sometimes I have it and then I think oh I shouldn’t have had this.

12:27
Eno Sarris: (Cool story bro)

12:27
Comment From Tony
Odor’s hot-hitting indicative of any changes in Triple-A? Or is he just too talented for them to expose his issues at that level?

12:28
Eno Sarris: He doesn’t have the greatest plate discipline, but Triple-A pitchers have decent command. So I think his regression might just be coming down there. Obviously lesser pitcher he’s going up against. I’d have to see his MLB numbers on return to see if there was a change in approach. (Still like him some)

12:29
Comment From Bruce
Ive been rolling with your boys Chase and Desclafini and they are doing OK with ratios, but dude, where dem K’s be at?

12:29
Eno Sarris: I think I have a little more hope for DeScla and Ks. Chase seems to be settling in as more of a ground ball guy.

12:29
Comment From neal
I think that guy was implying maybin for kimbrel was a bad trade, not the other way around? seeing as the padres don’t really have a CF

12:30
Eno Sarris: Sure, but I still answered the question.

12:30
Comment From butterz
do players wear sunscreen

12:30
Eno Sarris: Pitchers, on one arm.

12:30
Comment From Owen S.
So I have a weird, but I think solid, way to construct a Tulo deal. Let’s say the Rockies get a package of players that would be equivalent in value to a fully healthy Tulo. In exchange, the Rockies offer insurance . for instance, for every 1 game Tulo misses beyond X number of games, the Rockies agree to pay y dollars where y equals x times Tulo’s daily salary

12:30
Eno Sarris: I think this can be done more conventionally with a player to be named later. Dunno if commish approves that sort of moeny deal.

12:31
Comment From Jon
Any thoughts on Erasmo Ramirez? After reading your Sale piece I noticed he has 3 pitches with a SwStr% over 15%, but he rarely throws his slider and the zone rates on his change and curve are low combined with general control issues. His zone rates in the past have been much better for the change and curve… is this something he can work out with the Rays or is he maybe purposefully throwing them out of the zone (his curve seems to get hammered)

12:31
Eno Sarris: He’s throwing the curve less, which might just be all he needed to do? The slider is slightly better as a breaking ball. He does look great by pitch type peripherals, and he’s still in a decent park. Just given all the velocity loss, though, I can’t make him a 12-teamer yet.

12:32
Comment From Pale Hose
Also, how can Sonny Gray not like Eno?

12:32
Eno Sarris: I don’t know if I’d go that far, but he’s a bit… cagey.

12:32
Comment From Kid
Josh Reddick – fundamental change in skills (K/BB, contact), or just a streak-thing?

12:33
Eno Sarris: Well, sure, it looks like a fundamental change, and it’s supposedly stable and all that. You have to factor in injury risk and a loooong sample of more Ks though.

Career Numbers

Rob Deer: .220/.324/.442, 110 wRC+, 31.2 SO%

Comment From Reginald Denton III
Hey Eno! I have d’Arnaud coming back off the DL for next week’s lineup, and I need to drop someone (probably an SP). Who do I drop of the following: Buchholz, Cashner, Hutchison, Ross, Shoemaker, Teheran, Velasquez. (I just realized they’re all practically the same guy).

12:34
Eno Sarris: I’m dropping Hutch.

12:34
Comment From Jackbob
Have I missed any Motte wisdom? Velocity up.. Closer?

12:34
Eno Sarris: Not missing any bats.

12:34
Comment From Kid
Joey Gallo .240/.320/.480 realistic? If you take his ZiPS or Steamer projections over 162 games, it’s 40-HR power.

12:35
Eno Sarris: Read my interview with him on Ks that just went up. Some of what he said seemed a little worrisome – read that bit about recognizing a slider – so I think he’ll be a Chris Carter type. Many many ks. Very low BA. 3B eligible though!

12:35
Comment From Joe
George Springer has cut his K rate by 7 percent! He’s still striking out a quarter of the time! I don’t know which is more amazing.

12:35
Eno Sarris: I’d like to look at how he’s doing against fastballs.

12:35
Comment From Eager Seager Beaver
If a league-mate asks you for waiver advice…and asks about a player you wanted to bid on, do you have any obligation to disclose that? Is it wrong to downplay your interest in the player? I have so little FAAB left…

12:35
Eno Sarris: “Dunno haven’t looked hard yet.”

12:36
Comment From Shyam
Anything in Yelich’s batted ball profile that worries you?

12:36
Eno Sarris: Um yeah all those grounders. It’s a little ridiculous.

12:37
Eno Sarris:

12:37
Comment From Cincinnati Kid
I’m headed to southern NC later this summer…what are some can’t miss beers in NC/SC?

12:38
Eno Sarris: NoDa, Foothills, Wicked Weed, Westbrook, COAST.

12:38
Comment From Bruce
Franco looks like the real deal, huh? .280 /25 realistic for next year?

12:38
Eno Sarris: I don’t see why not, honestly. Making contact, showing power.

12:38
Comment From SB
Would you drop J. Harrison for Moose? Justin Turner? Forsythe? Triple slash that I’m looking for OBP

12:38
Eno Sarris: Moose I guess.

12:39
Comment From francis
Why would the Mets pass on Uribe and target Aramis ? What is wrong with them ?

12:39
Eno Sarris: maybe there wasn’t actually a match. Callaspo is actually playing!

12:39
Comment From Ryan
Pineda has been awesome so far. My team has gotten off to a great start, and I know this sounds crazy to say, but I’m already in really good shape to make the playoffs. I’m scared the Yankees will shut him down late in the season. Should I be trying to sell him now in a redraft?

12:40
Eno Sarris: He threw 83 innings last year… it’s a legit worry. Yankees in first, though, you think they’ll just want to take the training wheels off at some point. Maybe they sit him for a bit with a phantom DL stint.

12:40
Comment From CEM
Sixpoint – Best brewery in NYC, best brewery in NY state, or best brewery in the Northeast?

12:41
Eno Sarris: NYC. Maybe NY. Definitely not NE.

12:41
Comment From Dylan
Kang/Gallo enough to hold down the fort at 3B until Beltre gets back or do I need to make a move?

12:41
Eno Sarris: That’s fine.

12:41
Comment From joe
what are the reds targeting (your guess) in return for cueto and chapman?

12:41
Eno Sarris: Guys that are close and ready, think of the DeSclafani trade.

12:41
Comment From Max
Thoughts on Trevor May? Big difference in walk rate and increased grounder %…potential to have a 2014 Hughesian year?

12:42
Eno Sarris: Doubt it’ll look like that. I like that the breaker is doing a little better. I’m interested in deep leagues. Not in mixed leagues yet.

12:42
Comment From Frustrated with SPs
glad you’ve finally moved SGreene down your SP ranks, but why are you still bullish on Rubby & Folty? How discouraged are you by their last few starts?

12:42
Eno Sarris: It hasn’t been a good couple of starts since my ranks came out, especially for Rubby, where it’s beginning to look like homers are actually going to be a big deal.

12:42
Comment From Jackbob
What is up with Kang versus Mercer? Timeshare killing me. Which to pick ROS?

12:43
Eno Sarris: Kang’s the only one with fantasy upside.

12:43
Comment From Wardo
re: Hoponius Union – I’ve seen you mention in a few places that they “call” it a lager. Quirk of Enospeak, or does it taste so much like an IPA that they tricked you? Jack’s Abby is a lager-only brewery, so it’s def not an IPA, FWIW.

12:44
Eno Sarris: It’s pretty hoppy, tastes like an XPA if you drink it. It’s almost irrelevant how they brewed it, IMO. I’d rather have a beer in a class where it tastes like other beers, and it doesn’t taste like other lagers.

12:44
Comment From Joe
Speculating saves in SF. Is Romo just a ROOGY? The 1.5 FIP would say he’s elite but I am skeptical. He seems predictable with pitch usage. Would Strickland be a better stash?

12:45
Eno Sarris: Strickland is going to be the closer some day, I told him that (and he smiled, of course). I think it depends on the situation. Short term, Casilla needs a 15 day break? Romo. Long term change? Could be Hunter. Bochy looking like he trusts him, he has the stuff, and he’s getting the late inning usage.

12:45
Comment From Timo P.
Please rank ROS: Zimmerman, Sandoval, Plouffe

12:45
Eno Sarris: Sandoval Plouffe Zimmerman

12:46
Comment From Shyam
Velasquez didn’t really have a walk problem in the minors. Was last night an aberration, or do you see him putting up a 4+ BB/9 in the majors?

12:46
Eno Sarris: Yeah that’s what I didn’t get about the start. But Gallo saying the zone is bigger in the minors might be part of it. He’s so young, maybe this is the adjustment he has to make.

12:46
Comment From Tony
Thoughts on a couple unheralded newcomers, Ben Paulson and Williams Perez?

12:47
Eno Sarris: Eh, dude is old. Perez has a nice sinker, throws it a ton. Nice high-floor deep league guy.

12:47
Comment From Josh G
Better saves stash: Reed, Tazawa, Romo or Jeffress?

12:47
Eno Sarris: Reed Tazawa Jeffress Romo

If I asked you to rate baseball Pitchfork style and give it a numeric rating, what would you give it?

Eno Sarris: All of baseball? It’s the business. That’s my rating.

12:48
Comment From Jackbob
How come I never see Old Rasputin love in these chats? Is it just too manly?

12:48
Eno Sarris: It’s great. It’s routinely available, so I guess people look by it.

12:48
Comment From joe
yeah the yankee-harper stuff ain’t happening. Everyone knows he’s going to the Angels to team up with Trout. Then at the deadline they are gonna trade for Stanton

12:48
Comment From Robin

12:49
Comment From cwsoxfan
Dude, they have 4 SPs. They only need a #5.

12:50
Eno Sarris: Ah Rodon is up, right. Guess second base and third base are the problem?

12:50
Comment From eelz
Robbie Ray: recently really rad. Rosterable?

12:51
Eno Sarris: Not for me.

12:51
Comment From Curtis
How hard is it to throw a no-hitter? I know how many there have been and junk…. but is skill or luck more important?

12:51
Eno Sarris: There have been some pretty bad pitchers that have thrown it, and some great ones that haven’t, so I’d say luck is a huge part of it.

12:51
Comment From Jealous Burks
Hey ENO, rank ROS: Berrios, Severino, Matz.

Went to US Cellular for the first time recently and their beer selection has improved a lot I think since you did the BG review. YOU’RE MAKING A DIFFERENCE ENO!

12:52
Eno Sarris: Nice

12:52
Comment From Chuqui
Hi Eno – Which MI do you like better for dynasty purposes based on upside: Joe Panik, Wilmer Flores or Devon Travis? Are they all basically the same tier? Thank you..

12:52
Eno Sarris: Travis by himself, Panik closer to Travis than Flores, who is a clear last for me.

12:52
Comment From tony womack

Rattle n hum in NYC was great! Thanks for the suggestion. What do you think about chi chi? If he has another good start worth holding on to in a 10 team mix?

12:53
Eno Sarris: I’m not in on Chi-Chi in a ten-teamer. Not even really in a twelve-teamer. Even if it works out, he won’t have as many Ks as a Keuchel type.

I know it speeds up the Arb/FA timetable but isn’t calling up rookies somewhat of a cost cutting measure? If you have a rook who can do what Bloomquist can do (or more…) for a fraction of the price, why not use him now?

Hi Eno. How do feel about Chase Anderson this season? Him and Hutchison are available on the wire. Otherwise I need to target a SP in trade and my trade chips are Gallo/Castillo/Soria/Axford. 12 team redraft.

You sound pretty optimistic about Berrios, for a guy associated with a team that seems to like letting it’s non-Mauer prospects die of old age in the minors. Do you really think he gets the call? Especially with Santana due back

Went to see Jeff Bannister speak at beginning of year at Globe Life. He talked about a 10 day window for player performance that they used extensively in Pittsburg. For example, if they player was hot/cold over the last 10 days, they might pitch to him differently. I think they also looked at hot/cold zones during this period in the strike zone. Have you heard this before? Useful in fantasy?

1:32
Eno Sarris: Weird. Public sabermetrics haven’t found much of a use for hot and cold streaks. Maybe this sort of action on the part of teams is what makes hot and cold streaks meaningless, though.

If you can get an okay two-starter with good matchups, he’ll be more valuable than an okay regular guy like John Lackey. Peticolas best beer IMO is Golden Opportunity (Kolsch). I love Kolsch beers (Saint Arnold Lawnmower rulz).

With a phone full of pictures of pitchers' fingers, strange beers, and his two toddler sons, Eno Sarris can be found at the ballpark or a brewery most days. Read him here, writing about the A's or Giants at The Athletic, or about beer at October. Follow him on Twitter @enosarris if you can handle the sandwiches and inanity.
