Eno Sarris Baseball Chat – 9/12/13

With a phone full of pictures of pitchers' fingers, strange beers, and his two toddler sons, Eno Sarris can be found at the ballpark or a brewery most days. Read him here, writing about the A's or Giants at The Athletic, or about beer at October. Follow him on Twitter @enosarris if you can handle the sandwiches and inanity.

ENOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Keep Tulo, Segura or Strasburg if my 4 other keepers are Trout, Cabrera, Machado, Cutch. Thinking Stras, but…..

Tulo over Machado and then Stras. If you love love machado, tulo. If you are really risk averse, segura over tulo. But I’d probably go tulo and then stare real hard at machado v stras.

Okay. Think you are wrong on Machado, he’s a future star. I get masn, think he’s already better than Harper, but good advice for Tulo.

Yes, I know I put my question in the wrong spot. All snarky comments welcome.

Beer recs for the guy coming to STL: Urban Chestnut, Perennial, and 4 Hands are all excellent breweries with little to no distribution. All are in the city and all are better than Schlafly, IMO.

Saint Louis’ craft beer scene has exploded since A) the Schlafly’s got local laws changed to allow brewpubs, and B) A-B sold out to foreigners. Schlafly has lead the way but I think the three I mentioned are carrying the flag currently. Just my two cents.

Good drinking.

Fantasy playoffs, Cabrera owner, freaking out a bit. My offense is great even without him, but who do I replace him with if he takes a week off? I have Matt Carpenter, so I can pick up a 2B or 3B to replace him on off days. I’m leaning towards Ryan Raburn, but that hurts to type.
