Something that I enjoy in the otherwise awful sponsorship announcements is Carson’s ability to add a half a syllable to “draft” so that it sounds very nearly like “giraffe.”

I am incredibly thankful that the music intro that acts as the perfect filter which allows to easily scan through his intro. I used to love listening to his show preamble, but since the ads started getting crowbarred into them, I simply FFW through those 4 minutes. If it wasn’t for Spanish Flea, it would be a lot harder to skim through that god awful pitch for those god awful companies. Not a knock against Cistulli of course, just the paid message.
