FanGraphs Audio: Dayn Perry Remains Awful
Episode 882
Dayn Perry is a contributor to CBS Sports’ Eye on Baseball and the author of three books — one of them not very miserable. He’s also the grotesque and magnetic guest on this edition of FanGraphs Audio.

Carson Cistulli has published a book of aphorisms called Spirited Ejaculations of a New Enthusiast.
lol what
it can’t be
Consider me a tad confused
This is the podcast that America needs right now.
Not the heroes we need, but the heroes we deserve.
As a Canadian, the podcast the world needs.
I triple tooked at this article title from the homepage
For additional joy, may I point everyone to follow the Spirited Ejaculations of a New Enthusiast link. It did NOT take me where I expected to go.
Come home Carson. Your spirited ejaculations are needed in these mentally dispiriting times.
Whoa.
I almost want to check to see if Notgraphs is back, but I can’t handle that heartbreak again.
Man, I’ve missed this
All this social distancing has gotten me hallucinating.
Never thought I’d see the day…
Haven’t listened yet but truly hope this is like a reunion concert where they play all the hits:
– Dayn making his coffee loudly
– Carson accuses Dayn of something vile/problematic
– Emil Cioran
– Carson just uses the time to get advice on basic home repair
– Dayn not living up to his older brother’s expectations
Definitely checked that last box.
Also, as a bonus, a HotBot reference!
What about Dayn singing phrases in a punk rock style?
NEIGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
God almighty damn
yaaaaaaaaaaaass
This brings me back to a simpler time. So very appreciated right now.
Fan Sound: Dain Perri is still awful

Could someone please share what a fangecraft is, what it looks like, and if Adm. D’Ayn Peary is fit to captain one of said craft?
Yeah! Thanks Meg! I remember the argot of the poetry professor; but I forgot about his Wilma Flintstone giggle! And Perry still as advertised.
Notgraphs lives!
A welcome obstacle to my current quest of listening to all of the Dayn Perry episodes in reverse chronological order.
I have been listening to them in chronological order. They are truly the best podcasts of all time. I am on Audio: Dayn Perry on the Good Life (Episode 457 on June 27, 2014). I also listen to the annual interviews with Carson’s grandpa.
….
Emil, you Romanian devil, you’re in for a surprise! You haven’t even reached the episodes where they discuss you!
Also, oddly, I am on a re-listen of rhe PerryCasts, and you are somehow only one episode behind me, and I only finished that episode two days ago. I find this disturbing, sir, and I warn you against any shenanigans.
I started listening to Fangraphs Audio back in early 2015 (when I first had a long commute for a job), and I believe I even skipped a Dayn Perry episode or two because of Carson’s warning and me foolishly believing I wanted crack baseball analysis.
I am afraid my pace might slow down a little during the quarantine though, since I am not driving at all, but the full listen (and re-listen) of the “series” is a great ride.
Where can I find a list of their episode together?
Search Dayn Perry in your podcast library. I believe all the episodes with him will pop up, and it looks like he’s only ever been on one other episode of one podcast besides FGA.
This was a rare pleasant surprise.
This was totally unexpected and very much appreciated by myself, The Viewing Public.

Cistulli, YER OUTTA HERE!!!
take my money
I assumed my podcast app was re-loading old episodes. What a thing of beauty this is.
Bah gawd, that’s Dayn Perry’s music!
And he’s wearing the crimson mask!
What a wonderful surprise to hear Carson. Though I can only take about 10 minutes of Dayn.
I am proud to have been one of the 3 or 4 people who tweeted my request to them, asking for a reunion. I was listening to the pod while walking my dog in LA, under quarentine, and laughing like a loon. Is it too much to hope for another one?
I, too, believed at first this was a replay of an old episode. But, before I started playing it, I was very concerned that it was not a replay and Carson had lost his job with the Blue Jays. Then very relieved when I listened and found he had not. This was a great episode. Thanks, Meg, Carson, Dayn, and the Blue Jays! Now, when will we hear from Jeff and Dave!
Carson didn’t even have to get fired like this petition asked for: https://www.change.org/p/toronto-blue-jays-get-carson-cistulli-fired-from-the-blue-jays-so-he-can-podcast-again/sign?original_footer_petition_id=15146425&algorithm=promoted&source_location=petition_footer&grid_position=2&pt=AVBldGl0aW9uAEPWLwEAAAAAXg8H6mYEUCIzZWVlMzE0Ng%3D%3D
