Pineda, Haren, Masterson, Beckett, Cahill, Cliff Lee, Sabathia, Shields. I need to turn one of them into at least a quality closer (only have Axford). Ideas?

It’s not that hard to believe having that staff in a 10 team league. Really only Lee and Sabathia were drafted early. People were down on Beckett and Shields coming into the year and Haren’s surface stats were down last year so he was going later than he should. Of course Masterson and Pineda might not have even been drafted. So even though most of those guys look great now it’s easy to see how you could end up with that staff outside of a really shallow league.
My advise on that one, since the question wasn’t actually answered:
Attempt to trade Sabathia or Haren for a closer and an upgrade offensively. That starting staff will still be solid. I’d especially shop Haren, since his second half splits have been lower throughout his career and his trade value should be excellent right now.

Can you guys use something other than Cover it Live? That Facebook bar is SUPER annoying… I’d read more of these but the presentation completely ruins it.
dont put your mouse onto the screen and it goes away. if the mouse is near the screen it will pop up. either that or your browser is different then mines.
This also works in Chrome, but I completely agree, it’s lame and makes the chat less enjoyable to read.

Have a guy tie a rope around your waist and take batting practice. Any time you swing at a ball, the guy should jerk on the rope and put you on your butt.

yeah i basically stopped reading them because of this, only dave cameron and even then not everyone
put your mouse on the scroll bar. in safari, at least, that fixes it.
