I love you.

So 1027 total WAR, with a hitter / pitcher ratio of 65/35. That seems like a much higher weight toward hitters than what I would think. I thougt BREF was like 55/45.

Wouldnt that ‘over project’ teams with better hitting?

Could we get a “Yes” or “No” about whether or not Oliver Projections will appear in the near future on FG? No one seems to be willing to answer this in comments or Q&A.

The playing time projections for Steamer/Depth Charts are confusing… are you guys planning on explaining the differences?

Rizzo and Braun are projected for 170 games each and Holiday for 167; something is miscalculating.

Votto is projected for 162. That seems like a possible oversight.

That just reflects how close the NL Central will be this year: After the 8-game round robin tiebreaker, Votto’s 162 games will pale in comparison to Rizzo’s and Braun’s 170.

Thanks for these. It would be nice to also have the Off stat on there. It measures both quantity and quality, is adjusted like WAR, yet doesn’t include the wildly variable defensive stats.

We all knew the D-Backs catching situation was less than ideal, but who know they will be allowed to only field a catcher for 129 games?

I’ve noticed that guys with a low IP projection on the depth charts can cause strange results in the auction calculator, especially in a 4×4 format. Jaime Garcia (19 IP on the depth charts), Tyler Skaggs (9 IP), Danny Hultzen (9 IP), etc. are showing up with positive values in 4×4.

It’s still good to have these guys on the depth charts, but it might be nice to filter them out for the auction calculator. Maybe filter anyone with under 30 IP? (Or SP below 60 IP and RP under 30 IP? Not sure where the best cutoff would be.)

if only one could export the data and filter those players out oneself. if only…

Sorry, I should have anticipated some ignorant snark…

Filtering players out from the spreadsheet after the fact doesn’t work, because that doesn’t reallocate the money assigned to those guys.

Players need to be removed before the dollar values are generated, or else their stats are skewing the values for the entire player pool.
