ALDS Game Five Preview: Texas

Well it is Game 5 for the Texas Rangers and Tampa Bay Rays. The game is a near mirror match up of Game 1 in the series with lefties Cliff Lee and David Price pitching . I have absolutely nothing to add that hasn’t been said over the last week, except grab your favorite refreshing beverage, sit down and enjoy the game.

This game will be mentioned as the game that let the Rangers win their first post-season series and propelled them into the ALCS versus the Yankees -or- the game that sent them home again disappointed. Games like this is why we follow baseball. Enjoy the game and a complete over-the-hill analysis will be available after the game no matter which team wins.

Question: If the Rangers lose, can’t the Yankees just sign him to start in place of Burnett next round, or do we actually have to wait until the offseason for the formality of pretending he’s going anywhere else?

It’s such a struggle being a Yankee fan. The waiting is the hard part. Heck, it took how many years to exact their revenge on Carl Pavano.

It’s only 47 post-season innings for Lee so far, but he does have one of the better lines you are likely to find- 5-0 with a 1.52 ERA and commensurate walk, strikeout and HR rates.

The Rangers better not forget that Lee is just a rental. Cap his postseason innings please.

What, you mean dozens of TV shows and 1000’s of radio programs all saying the same thing over and over again is not fun? lol.
