12:01
Travis Sawchik: Howdy, folks

12:02
Travis Sawchik: Looks like a great afternoon for a baseball chat (at least from the location of Bay Village, Ohio)

12:02
Travis Sawchik: Last week of the regular season …. Harper coming back … And interesting AL Cy Young race … Let’s get to it

12:02
PF: Will you miss Jose Bautista?

12:03
Travis Sawchik: I will. I know he was polarizing but he was really the first guy to break from the conventional mold of hitting … and began pulling everything to find great success. Smart dude

12:03
Prince S. Leia Fielder: Miguel Cabrera or CarGo for this last week? Both have been mostly terrible all season, both are nursing injuries, Tigers have nothing to play for so may bench Cabrera but the Rockies are facing basically all left handers. Am I just screwed?

Eno Sarris Baseball Chat — 9/21/17

1:14
Eno Sarris: This chat is one thing we could not fully automate, I don’t think.

12:00
Guest: has anyone asked for your autograph before? was it weird?

12:00
Eno Sarris: Nobody has. that would be super weird.

12:01
Sam: Who’s coming out of the NL and why?

12:01
Eno Sarris: Nationals. Shorter series favors their dual-ace, superstar-driven strategy as long as Harper is healthy.

12:02
2-D: So next time you see Neshek are you going to ask him for his autograph… and hand him a Zack Greinke card?

Dave Cameron FanGraphs Chat – 9/20/17

12:04
Dave Cameron: Happy Wednesday, everyone.

12:05
Dave Cameron: Going to have a few more minute delay; kid slept in this morning so got him to preschool late.

12:05
Dave Cameron: We will start shortly.

12:07
Pablo: Who gets the second NL Wild Card?

12:07
Dave Cameron: At this point, it’s a toss up. I’d take MIL if I was making a wild guess, but there isn’t much separating these teams.

12:08
Guest: What is a reasonable expectation for Matt Olson next year?  Surely the league is going to adjust…

Eric Longenhagen Prospects Chat 9/19

11:31
Eric A Longenhagen: Hola from Tempe, where instructional league is on the horizon. Let’s chat

11:32
TJ: Has Jake Cave earned big league playing time for a non NYY team next year?

11:32
Eric A Longenhagen: Perhaps, might take the right organizational fit for him to find at-bats but he has hit well this year.

11:34
Oklahomabrave: If the Braves make a trade this offseason which prospect would you make the case they should sell high on due to peaking value and unlikelyness of taking the next step

11:34
Eric A Longenhagen: Pending a chhange in opinion based on what I see in the AFL, Riley.

11:34
TJ: Do we see someone else going the Padres route this year and stashing rule v draftees on their bit league roster in 2018?

Travis Sawchik: There are many things I will miss about Pittsburgh, incuding Mineo’s. Working on it!

12:05
Zonk: Bryant is not really in the NL MVP conversation, despite being in the top group of players by fWAR.  Is it possible the reigning MVP is underrated?

9:04
Jeff Sullivan: Hello friends

9:04
Jeff Sullivan: Welcome to Friday baseball chat

9:04
Sterling Mallory Chris Archer: I appreciate you and our Friday chats, Jeff.  Last year we had the Cubs storyline enthrall us all. What narrative this year could bring us some kind of excitement like last years?

Eno Sarris Baseball Chat — 9/14/17

12:36
Eno Sarris: I am an anemone

12:01
Eno Sarris: I’m here!

12:01
Brad: So which team looks like they made the best trade deadline moves to prepare themselves for the stretch run and playoffs?

12:01
Eno Sarris: I’m partial to getting the best starting pitcher you can, so even if the Dodgers haven’t been amazing, I like them getting Yu and the Astros getting Verlander.

12:02
JD15: What would you bid on Otahni right now in Ottoneu FGPTs?

12:04
Eno Sarris: I wonder if you’ll get both his hitting and pitching points. Fantasy baseball is headed towards a game breaker moment. Otani is Shaq for fantasy baseball. I dunno that I’d want to pay more than 10/15 though. What if he comes over as an OF that pitches sometimes? Or a pitcher that only hits sometimes? Then you’d want him like you’d want a Strasburg or Greinke before he threw a pitch.

2:00
The Average Sports Fan: Will the Twins be able to hold on for the 2nd wildcard?

2:00
Dan Szymborski: It’s getting closer – two games is significant with this amount of time remaining.

2:01
Dan Szymborski: It’s enough that it makes them vs. the field a coin flip or so.

2:01
Brad: will you do a hitting and pitching projection for Ohtani?

2:01
Dan Szymborski: Yes.
