Jeff Sullivan: I kind of thought he’d be named the manager when the Dodgers first hired him a while back, but it makes sense they had to give him a little seasoning. Now? Now he’s the odds-on favorite.

Jeff Sullivan: Smart guy, playing experience, a real uniter. Super motivating. If the Dodgers believe a manager’s No. 1 duty takes place in the clubhouse, Kapler appears to be a wonderful option there who won’t give anything back on the strategic side of things

Eno Sarris: It’s a bit of a quandary, isn’t it? Where do you put him? He’s a first baseman, most likely. I thought Soler was better but there was the faceplant. Otherwise I might consider swapping them from left to right based on handedness of the batter.

I asked this to August, but he didn’t want to touch Fantasy, so: I have a good problem. In my Keeper league, I have Sano, Bogaerts and Corey Seager for 2 spots, plus a utility spot. Should I keep all 3? Should I deal one for pitching (which is by far my weakness)? Who would you consider dealing of the 3? And keep in mind I’m a delusional Red Sox fan who loves Xander Bogaerts like a son.

Eno Sarris: I wonder if Sano isn’t the guy to deal here. No positional value, probably will hit .230 or so next year, lucky to hit .240 I think. And peak value, you’ll get what you want.

Dave Cameron: I wouldn’t really call what he did warming up. There’s a difference between just throwing off a mound and getting ready to come into a game. Having him just play catch probably isn’t a big deal, and it doesn’t look like he ever really threw like he was preparing to pitch.

Dave Cameron: I don’t think they use him today. I bet the hope is Stroman for 6 or 7, then Loup against a tough LHB, then the RH relievers to close it out.
