Jeff Sullivan: Hello friends

Jeff Sullivan: Welcome to NLDS Game 5 Live Blog

Jeff Sullivan: Currently just trying to get my stream to actually work, so in the meantime, let’s entertain ourselves with some polls!

Jeff Sullivan:

Jeff Sullivan:

Jeff Sullivan: Well right now I’m being frustrated by my own technology so I hope you’re having fun!

Eno Sarris: This song, this video. It’s like reggae plus funk, it sounds like Grateful Dead’s Emancipated Prophet, her voice is amazing, and the pictures haunting…

Eno Sarris: ESTIMATED Prophet. nice.

OC: Who’s your pick for tonight?

Eno Sarris: Should be the Cubs based on talent of the starter but there’s something I like about using both Gio and Tanner, and I’m into new teams so Nats I guess.

Dylan: 16 Ks in 20 ABs has to be a record right? Not just playoffs, but ever

Eno Sarris: It’s certainly a record in my heart.

Dave Cameron: Happy Game 5 Day everyone!

Dave Cameron: This should be a fun one.

Dave Cameron: And barring the most Nationals 9th inning ever, we’ll get another Game 5 tomorrow.

Dave Cameron:

Dave Cameron:

Dave Cameron:

Dave Cameron: Happy Wednesday, everyone.

Dave Cameron: Should be a pretty interesting day of baseball.

Dave Cameron: Let’s grab some questions for a bit before it starts.

Dave Cameron: I will note that I might not go to the full hour today, since I’ll be live-blogging CLE-NYY tonight.

Dave Cameron: Gotta save some chatting energy.

Matt: Did Dusty lie the whole time or was Strasburg shamed into this?

Paul Swydan:

Paul Swydan:

Paul Swydan:

Paul Swydan: Hi everybody!

Chaps: 4th option to the 1st question: no, this is going to be the game that ends with a final score of 15-14 where each team has 30+ hits and takes 5+ hours to play

Paul Swydan: It might be! But tomorrow. Stupid rian.

Eric A Longenhagen: Good morning! Quick chat today as I want to get to Brewers intrasquad before Fall League gets underway.

Eric A Longenhagen: Cistulli and I podded: https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/fangraphs-audio-the-evolving-criteria-…

Eric A Longenhagen: OKay, let’s do this

hscer: what’s up with barreto

Eric A Longenhagen: Just a 21-year old struggling with his initial taste of the toughest baseball league on the planet. I don’t think he’s a SS but think he’ll hit enough to play wherever he ends up, which will still likely be an up-the-middle position.

Los doyers: Any doyer kids you see in Az on the brink of making an impact soon? Or all youngins

Paul Swydan: Hi everybody!

Paul Swydan:

1908wasnextyear: Any way to guage whether a hitter’s splits or a pitcher’s splits are more important? Thinking of Edwards vs Harper … CJ is better against lefty hitters than any of the actual lefty pitchers in the Cubs pen — but Harper hits righties better. Whose splits matter more?

Paul Swydan: I’d be surprised if Edwards’ splits against lefties was indicative of his true talent level.

Brandon M: I LOVE BASEBALL

Paul Swydan: Me too, Brandon!

Travis Sawchik: Howdy, folks

Travis Sawchik: Some technical difficulties today getting the chat up and going … so the queue is wide open at the moment

Bork: Its Thanksgiving. Take the day off.

Travis Sawchik: This should be a paid holiday …. Four playoff games!

Matty P: How worried should Indians fans be?

Travis Sawchik: A little? If Severino pitches like Severino we could be looking at a Game 5

Dave Cameron: Hey everyone

Dave Cameron: Welcome to the Game 2 live blog of the Astros/Red Sox series

Dave Cameron: Dan Szymborski will be joining me for this one.

Dave Cameron: That commercial made it sound like that lady told Frank Thomas that she wished her husband would use eugenics.

Dave Cameron: I feel like they didn’t test out the name of their silly pill very well.

Ryan: Which team most needs to win game 2: the Red Sox or the Yankees?

Jeff Sullivan: Hello friends

Jeff Sullivan: Welcome to Friday baseball chat

Jeff Sullivan: Which I…think…is going to be followed by Dave live-blogging the early game? Find out!

Bryan: What the hell happened to the Yankees last night?

Jeff Sullivan: They lost!

Jeff Sullivan: When you’re going up against part of the best pitching staff in at least modern baseball history, you’re probably going to look like you’re taking bad at-bats
