Kiley McDaniel: You thought I would start having snappy intros now?

Kiley McDaniel: A couple timely things to point out. I wrote a feature for my last employer about how the Yankees drafted RHP Shane Greene off a a JV team from a Florida Junior College: http://sbb.scout.com/story/…

Kiley McDaniel: Also, we have video on the FG YouTube Page of new Tiger Shane Greene https://www.youtube.com/wat… and new D’Back Domingo Leyba (which should finish processing in moments) https://www.youtube.com/wat…

Kiley McDaniel: And here’s Dave’s thoughts on the deal: http://www.fangraphs.com/bl…

Kiley McDaniel: Okay now to your questions

Comment From Mike
Just curious (I know there was a holiday in there), but it’s been a bit since the last organizational list came out. Who’s next and when (about)?

Eno Sarris: Be here soon! In the meantime, for the two people who don’t know about my namesake in his full glory:

The key to a great offseason is often the moves you do not make. As a die hard Jays fan, I have been thrilled by the additions of Martin, Donaldson and Saunders, and yet the fact we did not sign Markakis is by far my greatest joy. That is all.

Eno Sarris: Have yourself an offseason, Toronto. Only one shoe left to drop: second base? I’m sure it’ll be a filler type. Everth?

Comment From Tony G.
Will Derek Norris be a top-5 catcher in AL-only leagues this season? Would keeping him at $8 be good value, market value or too expensive? Thanks!

Eno Sarris: About market value. There’s still Vogt, he’s still right-handed. Not sure he’ll be top five unless Vogt plays all over and Jaso leaves/doesn’t catch.

Neil Weinberg: Hi all, we’ll begin at 3pm. Load up the queue with stat/data/FG/any other baseball related questions and we’ll chat. See you then

Neil Weinberg: Alright, let’s get started. FYI I am @NeilWeinberg44 on Twitter if you have inquiries throughout the rest of the week.

Comment From Ceej
Am I correct in understanding that while both are great prospects, Buxton is the better real life and Sano is the better fantasy prospect?

Neil Weinberg: That’s probably fair to say.

Comment From Pale Hose
Hi Neil. Is Rendon going to get time at second next year or has he become a third baseman exclusively? Chase Headley would make a lot of sense for the Nationals if they move Rendon back to second.

Neil Weinberg: Would expect Rendon at 3B.

Dave Cameron: It’s Wednesday, so let’s chat.

Dave Cameron: To note: we know that CIL’s new design hasn’t been especially well received, and we’re open to trying to tweak things to make the interface more user friendly. To start out, I’m testing out a reverse chronological order for the chat.

Dave Cameron: We might experiment with some things during the chat today, so feedback is appreciated.

Hey Dave. Just read your article about righ handed power. Want to note the part about the guys who throw righty and bat lefty. I myself am one of them, and i was never taught to hit lefty. I just naturally threw righty and hit lefty. might be something to think about…

Dave Cameron: Someone mentioned this on Twitter as well, so it’s worth noting. That said, if you’re a natural right-hander in everything else in life, and a natural right-handed thrower, my guess is you probably could hit right-handed, or at least could have at some point in your life.

Dexter Fowler – what kind of return could he net?

Paul Swydan: Hi everybody!

Jeff and I will be here at 9 pm ET to cram some baseball straight down your cramholes. So get ready. You can prepare by pumping the queue full of questions. See you soon!

Paul Swydan: Hi guys! Working feverishly to get our next book, When the Sparrow Sings, by Jason Linden, ready for purchase.

Comment From Pale Hose
Hey everybody. Go buy Hardball Times. It is excellent!

Paul Swydan: Thanks Pale Hose!

Comment From Nick
First, can we get rid of this damn mountain.

Paul Swydan: I feel like this is a pop culture reference that I’m not getting.

Jeff Sullivan: All right, let’s do this

Jeff Sullivan: Made the mistake of starting a twitter conversation right before the scheduled chat time. I’m the worst 🙁

Comment From Los
If a chat goes on fangraphs and there is no Jeff Sullivan around, does it make a sound?

Jeff Sullivan: Pretty sure we can now observe that the answer is no

Comment From Garm Bel Iblis
Bottom to Top is terrible.

Jeff Sullivan: I tried to look for somewhere to change it but I don’t know where to change it 🙁

Dan Szymborski: We get signal. Main screen turn on.

Comment From Xolo
Word is that the Padres are “aggressively” trying to trade Grandal. Can we get a preview of what ZiPS thinks about him?

Dan Szymborski: 239/339/399 in SD, 112 OPS+, 2.8 WAR

Comment From Guest
Nelson Cruz. $58M??

Dan Szymborski: Meh.

Comment From Eminor3rd
Are you happy your O’s didn’t get Nelson Cruz at that price?

Neil Weinberg: Hey all. Queue is open and we’ll begin at 3pm. Remember priority to stat/data/FG info questions, but anything is fair game. I’m @NeilWeinberg44 if you’re looking for me on Twitter. See you in a few.

Neil Weinberg: Alright. Let’s get started. A little light on questions so far, so today’s the day to get stuff answered.

WHAT IS HAPPENING TO MY CHAT WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN AM I SAFE

Neil Weinberg: People have strong opinions!

Neil Weinberg: As always, if you know of a better service than CIL, we are all ears.

Dave Cameron: Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. Let’s be thankful for an hour or so of baseball conversation.

Dave Cameron: The queue is now open.

Comment From Bret
A couple of reports out of Toronto are that the Jays have given Melky Cabrera a deadline to respond to their offer (believed to be 3-years / $39M) by the Winter Meetings. If you were Melky’s agent, do you advise him to take it?

Dave Cameron: Yeah. I don’t think he’s worth any more than that.

Comment From Cicero
Since Cargo and Tulo are unlikely to return value until health is more sure, shouldn’t the Rockies at least look to move Morneau, Stubbs and Rosario?

Dave Cameron: I disagree with the premise. I would bet several teams would pay for Tulo’s upside, even coming off the surgery.

Jeff Sullivan: Are we ready to baseball chat?

Jeff Sullivan: I’ve given the queue a few minutes to get going and subsequently settle down

Jeff Sullivan: So let’s talk about god knows what
