Jeff Sullivan: We have an Ohtani player page and projection now. I added him to the Angels’ depth chart about an hour ago but those can take a little while to update on the public-facing side

Broseph: You pointed me toward Sam dyson in 2016, and James Paxton in 2017. Whose your 2018 difference maker who can be acquired cheaply now?

Eno Sarris: I’ve been into Walker Buehrler (best curve by movement and velo, opportunity, going back to starting), Carlos Rodon (third best starter’s changeup by movement and velo last year), and I still like Treinen and Manaea as lower cost back end pitchers at their positions.

Art Vandelay: Gordon, Granite, and a couple lower Twins’ prospects for Archer. Do the Rays hang up?

Eno Sarris: probably not enough for a pitcher getting paid less than ten mill a year.

Dave Cameron: Welcome to the third day of the winter meetings, where the big news of the day is… Anthony Swarzak? Michael Pineda? Jake McGee?

Dave Cameron: To say it’s been dull so far would be the understatement of the year.

Dave Cameron: So let’s talk about what teams should be doing that they aren’t.

Bernie: Brewers fan so this may be silly, but would a Domingo Santana for Jackie Bradley Jr swap make sense for each side? Red Sox get RH power, Brewers get defensive flexibility.

Dave Cameron: Would make lots of sense for MIL, because Bradley > Santana, so they’d get the better player. Would make BOS worse.

Jim: What are the chances McCutchen is traded by the end of the week?

Eric A Longenhagen: Good noon from Orlando, friends. My phone screen is broken, hopefully I’m not stuck here forever as a result. But hey, baseball time.

Mike Stanton: What prospects would the Sox have to include to bring back Machado? Seems like a perfect match with Devers at third, with a potential move to first in the coming years, no?

Eric A Longenhagen: I don’t think they have the horses for that. System is thin.

Eric A Longenhagen: You could make an argument that Flores was their best guy. I can’t see teams centering a package around Groome unless they think he’s really grown up. Already a lot of risk acquiring a pitcher as a centerpiece, let alone you don’t have sufficient makeup reports on.
